I’ve seen about 2 dozen of these on the road so far in Miami and while the changes aren’t drastic, they’re certainly recognizable. The LED taillights and new circle DRLs alone make this car look 100x better

I know damn well he is going to LOVE the door closing sound on this car!

You cannot get a front camera on this G550 due to the front bar. You can only get it on the G63. If you put in eco mode it goes into a sailing mode, even though there is no sailing boat symbol like in the G63, but you will see the rpm drop to idle. It also has cylinder activation mode. It is super comfy and way more liveable than the last generation. Last generation G wagon gives you a feeling of driving and old truck down an old dirt road.

Huy Thai: nope, I’m not saying that. I just like the square hard angle of the G and wished the LC had that. I just don’t care for Toyota’s design language but like their build quality.

Back in the 90s before they were selling it in the Mercedes dealer you could buy them in a private dealer; it came in two chooses of trim two doors soft top and four doors. The private dealer were selling it for $100,000. Since it became very popular Mercedes decided to selling it in their dealer.

On road dynamics?? A great deal of the video seemed to be spent apologizing for what MB didn’t do properly with this vehicle. I’ve never understood the draw. Like you said the rear of the vehicle is just now useable. Aside from the name and massaging seats why is this vehicle worthy of my hard earned dollars? It isn’t. Thank you for the review and thank you for always being straight with us.

Maybe I’m weird but I love the the box shape of this vehicle, the Land Rover defender, LR4. If I could have a G wagon body, Toyota Land Cruiser reliability, and 4Runner price I’d be in heaven. Could do without all the screens inside the vehicle though. GPS is about all a person needs if they were ever to be honest.

Mercedes genuinely dislikes fog lights. Even on this SUV.... Why?!!

Actually Katheryn .... yes. The g wagon can last years it is a military vehicle. Let’s say for instance there were a zombie apocalypse or something I’d use the G wagon. Of course with gas being free now that the world is ending lol

The Mercedes G Wagon will always be such a timeless car to look at ~~ even if the new one still looked like this, I think people would still buy it.

the side facing door is a security feature, for emergency exits can be done with cover in case of gun fire.

mercedes charges extra for everything, even the engine, yeah, to actually get this car to move, you need to pay $10, 000

The 550 has the 360 camera disabled because of the required front bar which blocks the camera. The g63 doesn't have the same issue.

I know for the people who actually by these it doesn’t really matter, but I can’t help thinking for that price you could have a dope ass wrangler AND a nice quiet refined daily driver.

Sofyan seems to have forgotten about the variety of options from Land Rover with the Discovery, the Range Rover Spprt, & the full size Range Rover, its main competitor

Gotta keep in mind my friend the G-Wagon was originally a military truck, can’t be too hard on it

Downwards firing exhaust gonna be raising lot of dust while offroad

Lexus LX570 and GX460 are much better, and ACTUALLY are OLD SCHOOL DONE RIGHT. This G wagon will just cost a fortune to maintain, and will be plagued with issues. I mean just look at Belen Solomon’s new G wagon, it’s practically a lemon already lmao. Not to mention she’s been through like 4 different G wagons , another one which was a lemon as well. I’ve had my 05 Land Cruiser since new, and now have 272,000 miles on it. Never had any issues whatsoever, everything works just like it did when I bought it 15 years ago.

These seem to be very popular in Beverly Hills.

It’s a totally unique car from anything in it’s price range. Plus it has the most road presence of any non super car under 300k imo. Also, the G might be the highest quality MB. It feels like driving a bank vault on wheels. I love it but a lot of people don’t. It’s a very polarizing car that has had its reputation tarnished and simultaneously increased by the kardashian culture.

If only mercedes offered this with an in-line 6 diesel like older mercedes sedans

Don't think the silver is doing it any favours. Looks way meaner in black or that blue in the previous generation.

With all that attention to detail I can’t get over the exposed edges of that Autozone faux-carbon right below the gauges. That’s the Designo package???

I'm glad they updated the design of this car so that all the posers out there driving 6 and 10 year old used G wagons can no longer try to flex and fool the uninitiated into believing that they have more means than the reality.

before mercedes g 550 there was fiat campagnola really nice suv ...such a shame they dont make no more , check here on youtube! couple times i asked fiat to make again on facebook and they said will report to the headquarter of fiat!

I am sure that this is a fine vehicle. It is, however, quite goofy looking when seen on the street. It is a vehicle for people who really can't figure out how to get rid of their money fast enough.

Mercedes came up with that key that FCA uses to this day. Don’t dismiss the old key like they stole it from the FCA. also in order to keep that door sound that you so love they couldn’t add the keyless entry to it. At least that is what Mercedes says when you RESEARCH it.
