The purpose for that type of seat is for you to shift your weight according to your terrain. On ruff choppy sections/ obstacles you want to sit back a little to keep the front wheel light. For cornering and accelerating with more control you want your weight in front of the power. The seat is long and flat so you can shift your weight quickly and easily. ( watch motocross a bit you’ll see).

Neil Armstrong Continental’s are the best but don’t last that long because you can ride so hard. I went for a Perrelli Angel on the back of my old LC4 super motto. Harder in the middle with soft outer walls. I found it a very good tyre indeed 👍

Supermotos are the bee's knees! When they're this good, they're awesome. When they're shite (like my previous AJP PR3 240 Supermoto) they're still awesome. I regret not filming some motovlogs on the thing - it had terrible reliability but was fun as hell. You can't beat those ergos and that lack of weight! 26:17 - 28:02 That thing looks beautiful, KTM really know how to make good looking bikes.
I've got the 2014 690 smcr with an akrapovic exhaust, it sounds great and it changes the riding experience a lot, bangs and pops for for the ages
Agreed on the plank seat and the speed-o cluster. Swapped out the seat and silencer first on my 2016 690 Enduro R.

As a 2017 SMC-R owner, I must admit that this new design is not less than hideous imo, especially the fact they removed the anodized wheels...

Best maintenance friendly powerfull lightweight fun bike on the market right now!👍
The reason the dash doesn't turn off is because it's not running off the bikes power. It's got it's own standalone battery. The 701 and this bike are essentially the same except the 701 has less features. The dash on both are exactly the same. They do in fact turn off after a short period of time.
Hey chase, could you explain how you take those detailed smooth shots of motorcycles and what gear you use? Love your vedios🙂

BOOTIFUL BIKE like really i like the color it is amazing
You should be sitting way up front. It puts your body in the center of the bike. Sitting back on the seat allows dramatic weight transfer. In motocross, it's used to change the weight from balanced to rear and increase the traction through burms, etc. Sitting back will also cause you to wheelie easier. You'd likely have a better experience overall sitting forward on the seat.
More Chase and Yummy series please, I loved that series it was so funny. Love the Vids keep up boiiiiiii.
If you ever get a chance to try out the ktm 125 exc with sumo tires, pls try it. It’s so fun since the power comes only whem you are at the high rpm. And damm does it wheelie! Great video btw👍🏼

@chaseontwowheels Bruh, you can’t just put “73.5 torque at...” KTM measures in Newton-meters, while we in the US measure in pound-feet. 73.5Nm converts to 54.2lb-ft of torque. Otherwise, you’re making a 690cc single sound like it’s making as much torque as the 1050cc triple in the Speed Triple.

Great review man! I have a 2018 690 enduro and it’s such a beast of a bike, and it has a big analog tach and gear indicator and it sounds so much better with a yoshimura exhaust, much less like a lawn mover now lol, although 690s always have a little clunk to em
You should try the previous model. 2014-2016. Bit more vibrations and no quickshifter but alot cheaper and bigger dash.

@@emdjo6485 well i bought mine 2015 690 enduro R for around 6000 dollar last autum with 5000 kilometers on it, seat concept seat, evo1, skidplate and some other powerparts compared to 11000 for a new 690. Seems alot cheaper to me.
I have the 2018 Enduro R (same bike more or less minus electronics and SM wheels) and the biggest complaint is false neutrals. that said, you get used to it after it scares you the first half dozen times. But it's a total hoot. Like you i don't really go off-road so i am thinking of ordering the kit to convert it to SM. Other than that, no complaints and I'm pretty fortunate it to have it. As you mentioned in your video, it is my "everything" bike... except for the fact that i am admittedly nervous as hell about learning to wheelie on it...

Not sure why they cheaper out on the display. Much better on the previous 2018 enduros
I had a 2011 690... so much vibes through the bars and the Frame to the seat that I could only do about an hour of high speed riding. Wonder how much smoother this new one is and if it’s really actually smooth or still vibes your fingers and toes numb

I think the people saying it’s heaving are comparing it to 450’S and 250 dualsports with aluminum frames built for supercross tracks
Do a first ride on the 701!
lmao the dash is like from 1960s, one of the hardest seats are there and very high up sitting, there is options for aftermarket seats also like seat concepts, and come on KTM by now you would expect a freaking gear indicator but no they had to use a way smaller dash lol nice review obviously very quiet with that stock can definitely worth a aftermarket exhaust

What happened to the pixelated helmets rating scale?
You’re better off buying the Enduro R and buying a set of SMC rims. Then you have the best of both worlds. The SMC is not convertible like the Enduro. Did that with my 2016 and I love it. 15 minute swap from SMC to Enduro. Oh and get a Wings exhaust, seat concepts seat, Scott’s Damper.
@phil2ride312
5 жыл бұрын
15 min? With the kickstand swap, chain adjust etc its a 1hr job for me.
Do you film this ride twice? Once with camera car and one without? It boggles my mind with the transitions essentially hiding a camera car.
Would you ever consider trading your WR for one of these? Or getting one in addition to it?
I have recently put my 2 other bikes up for sale after buying a 701 enduro model and converting it to supermoto. Its plenty for my wheelie shenanigans;) :)
The only thing that sucks is I love the super motos, but I'm only 5'8 I have a KLR250 and can only put one foot down and that's basically tip toes. I did fall in love with a duke 390 though

Lol, I have 18 390 duke and yes its absolute blast around the city, hooligan shit and around corners. I cant imagine what a supermoto SMC 690r can do. Its made that way for reason. Deciding on getting a this bike. That bike is made to handle which want I want
12:28 thats a 2cyl engine. Easier to get smooth since it is a smoother engine
crf 450r supermoto. great on the highway long as you sit way up front passed 80
How can you rate the agility so high if you can barely touch the ground I feel like one thing for riding is being able the touch the ground with ease and whenever you need to.
