@@j-pp9622 Verstappen's ride over the sausage kerb in Silverstone would have left him with definitely a broken wheel or suspension 10 years ago and Vettel would have also probably have been out. Sure F1 cars are not as strong as IndyCar, but they are much stronger than a few years ago.

Michael Carlson Joshua’s right. Actually, Indy cars are built stronger than F1 cars. Hence why they weigh a tad heavier (10-20 kilos). Dallara builds the chassis to tight tolerances as these cars are prone high speed crashes as well as higher g-forces sustained in such. F1 cars do not run ovals hence why the strength of the chassis built by the teams is different as these cars are not always at full throttle.

Feel so glad for Dixon and Hinch who drove their hearts out despite some rough times both had this season so far, but feel really frustated for Sato, i wanted to see him on the podium again.

Feel bad for Sato. Probably had a shot at a podium finish but got taken out.

Pretty good race. I enjoyed it. For a rain delayed race, that was a pretty good crowd.

Started at about 11:50pm eastern time, and finished about 2:15am eastern.

Great racing. Stayed up until 2 and it was well worth it.

Iowa Speedway is amazing

They need to do the opposite during the live broadcast. Ever since St. Petersburg the cars have been louder than the commentators and it only gets fixed when the highlights are uploaded.

Ozzy Smith Will NEVER understand why IndyCar and NHRA broadcasting cannot comprehend the importance of audio in a motorsports presentation. Both sanctioning bodies in 2019 are still 100% not understanding the product they are selling. IndyCar graphics that block the left side of the screen are also descriptive of the same ignorance. NHRA actually presents their pay service with silent cars, as the announcer yells over them!

I don't know but I think the audio was fine during this race when it was on NBCSN. I think IndyCar didn't fix the sound for these highlights.

One best races ever IndyCar needs to do more latenight races congratulation to Joseph Newgarden on his 4th win this season . Poor Marco Andertti lost grip & power on last 🌙 race was looking for him to. It's been a few years since last won a race.

Comment from the UK. Basically it is a grander example of stock-car racing, as we have at Skegness Stadium!

Great short oval Race, Go to Bristol!

The more i see those Indy car, the more they are beautiful, what an improvment over the first génération of «covered wheels» cars, they were kind of ugly 😁. Great racing also. 👍

Wonder why Ericsson got a stop and go, second oval race where that happened while he was on route for a good finish. It was after a pitstop that time aswell, his pitcrew released him unsafely. That must be very frustrating, think he was 8th and passing cars rapidly after his pitstop when that happened .

racerdude7730 if Richmond does come back, I hope it’s not at the expense of Pocono, which is reportedly in danger of being dropped. IndyCar not only lacks races but also lacks ovals. The schedule is way too short.

Leist and Kanaan usually stay neck and neck, which is pointing at the car and the team itself as a whole, and not just Kanaan. This race, Kanaan significantly outperformed Leist, signalling that they finally must have gotten something right with the car.

Will Boler yeah this race. Kanaan hasn’t been good for a long time. He was borderline awful at Ganassi.

Better that winner than the other 2 in the Top 3. *_THAT'S_* for sure!

Hey, just double checking here. This video clearly shows live timing on lap 25, but MY stream on DAZN only shows the manufacturers until lap 130. They say, the signal is from the US but there is something different going on!

Kopite TV what happen that you saw was so dangerous? It was a very safe race with no big moments or problems? The cars arnt flat out anymore either so I don’t see the problem

Marco Andretti has been in the sport for 13 years with a championship contending team. His teammates have gone on to win Indy 500s, championships, and many wins. Meanwhile he won one race on fuel economy and with his two teammates protecting him, and one legit win at Iowa. That’s it. He should come to grips that racing prowess isn’t inherited in your DNA as they say.

I agree, the broadcast audio is way too loud, and it never stops! As much as I would love to hear the cars, I have to turn the sound off because of the incessant, ignorant, babbling. Hey, people want to hear and see the race, not some idiot in a booth that never shuts up. Ruins the whole thing for sure.

Ovals are lame.

Lots of empty seats! Ed Carpenter with all the money his stepdad can spend on him can't win anything. He should get out before he gets hurt or hurts someone else. Ed Carpenter is being groomed to be president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway anyway.
