This track was great racing and fun watching because of all the lines they could use but just a little small. The racing reminded me of The 2015 race at Autoclub Speedway one of the best races I have ever seen and it was on a 2 mile track.

I'm gutted for Newgarden. What a race from him and to loose it like this with no fault of his own must be heartbreaking...

@@davidius74 Cheers mate. I knew Wil has been doing well for years. Scott Dixon ay? You've made my day! He was so good he was a bit of a pain. Things have really changed for the better for me. Haha

Never qualified well, never got his car setup to run at the speed of the leaders.

This track is a lot about how lucky you are with passing lapped cars... and why did JJ pass Ericsson when he is the leader of the championsip with 241 points in front of JJ before this race? If it was Dixon leading, I'm sure he wouldn't get overtaken by JJ, and/or the team would have told JJ not to.

He passed him because he was faster. This aint F1.

I still don’t understand why they need spotters??? Can’t think of another form of motorsports that use em, besides US ones af course.

On the ovals they are essential because otherwise people would just crash all the time and have heavy 150-200 mph accidents. Not good for the drivers, not good for racing.

@@bimonsolivar8898 then don’t crash, simples. Seems a bit redundant and makes me think less of the drivers ability tbh

What other forms of motorsport have cars inches from each other for 90% of the race?

From racing car, you have limited field of view and you must focus heavily on how you drive oval to avoid getting to trouble. Spotter see what you cannot see and alert you on what is happening so you can focus on your drive. For us Europeans, oval racing look simple at first sight but nothing is farther from the truth.

@@danielhenderson8316 ummmm, motorbike racing like MotoGP seem to be close, and touch, without a ‘spotter’. F1 used to be and sometimes does. Supercars, Drift, dirt track racing……and on and on…..no spotters needed.
