I'm rooting for you man. I bought mine back in August. It's so much fun. A Shelby gt350 is my "i will have this car someday" car. Then when i do a manual porsche gt3 will be the next "i will have this car someday" car haha. Never stop stopping i guess.

it's a great car! takes some work depending on where you live, but it can be had at or slightly below retail price

type r is honestly my dream car

Sounds way better in person , especially when you let off the throttle and hear the turbo it’s the best

I am intrigued by the current overemphasis on exhaust sound, particularly synthesized exhaust sound. The Type R is a driver’s car. What the true driver wants to know is what is happening with the engine right now, in real time, not what happened a while ago, even milliseconds ago, which is what the exhaust sound is. If it’s synthesized in any way it’s not real at all, just entertainment for those that happen to hear it, whether inside or outside the car, and does not contribute to driving the car well.

Yeah but they all have that eeeeehuuuuuuuuu at the top of the rev band. Sounds so bad. I'm so annoyed by that sound.

I have a blue FK8 2018. Every time i drive the car, it puts a smile on my face. Wonderful gearbox, great handling and superb performance.

honda did it, now honda haters are slowly creeping away. they killed it with this one and i feel so happy no matter how many years outdated this car gets i promise as soon as i have the money to buy this I’d definitely buy it, even if cars are flying i’d still choose to drive on roads lol as long as it’s honda and TYPE R

Scoot wish they would fix the overheating issue with this one tho, or someone would develop an aftermarket 100% solution

If anyone wants a first time manual sports cars this is the car for you. The car gives an indicator when to upshift although downshifting idk about. Regardless, it’s a great first time manual sports car and as time progresses, hopefully soon, you’ll be able to shift by muscle memory!

I have a 1998 civic and I have always thought Honda is fantastic, And I think I will die thinking the same way, I have always said that my dream car is the civic 2008 given that it is the most modern to reach my country . But now I see this ship and wow it's wonderful

It truly is a wonderful car to have and to drive. I’m lucky enough to have a 2017 CW CTR. Every morning I wake up with a smile knowing I’ll be driving her to any from work. Even in morning Chicago rush hour traffic, the clutch and trans make it so easy to drive. It’s truly a wonderful commuter car. The seats are cozy snug, it’s like the seat is hugging you in appreciation. I only worry about long term wear on the left side bolsters of the drivers seat. This car is easier to drive than an Si but put the pedal down on the highway and she’ll break 100mph before you realize it. I only wish she had a bigger fuel tank, heated seats and the lane watch camera on the passenger rear view window. That was a surprise the first time I signaled right and there was no camera feed.

Michigan roads look like a shithole, for sure. Combine that with the Type-R's 20" wheels and rubber band tires...it's going to be rough. Not to mention the Type-R uses struts vs. double wishbone. My daily would be a truck or a car with fat sidewall tires if I lived there.

@@michaelangelo5783 Yeah I prefer beefier sidewalls on a car myself as well. Way more positives like cheaper tires, better ride, cheaper wheels that are less prone to cracking, lighter weight too which equals better performance and gas mileage. Only downside would be slightly less cornering ability.

Glad that's not possible in my car. If the key is in the ignition, it unlocks itself. Even if you locked it from the inside and hold the handle to close the door locked.

@@RamzaBeo Mine is from 1991 so no autolocking or key detection or anything. I was even amazed by the auto unlocking feature. Automatic locking sounds horrible though.

I bought the FN2 model Type R. It's okay but I'd rather have a Hyundai i30N. Hyundai sounds way cooler that's the main reason.

Beautiful car! If I ever need to get a new car, this will be on my list, but for now I love my 16 accord coupe V6 so that won’t be anytime soon. Oh and also, looks like you might wanna find a gas station, running a bit low there. Lol

This car it's awesome geez. How do I apply to work as what you do man?

Just bought a Touring Type R in Blue for a daily pretty comfortable and good on gas on the highway, great for country back road attacks when I am closer to home. 36k out the door not bad at all for the handling. I made the mistake of driving much more expensive vehicles on my commute 150 miles one way, bad on gas and the depreciation just kills the positive driving experience.

Type R is my dream car each time i'm studying i have this playing as my motivation

Loved this vid (again lol!); I seriously felt as though I were driving it...and truly living vicariously...and enviously (SMH)...through you. Question: did you upgrade your exhaust...cuz I was loving the interior/cabin exhaust noise when you opened up on the road.

They changed the gear ratio for 6th gear now it's shorter so it revs higher on the highway, in my opinion that's dumb because now the MPG has gone down :/

No blind spot camera, all the safely crap in the ex l and a high ratio for 6th or something. When they get rid of this ridiculous rev hang, lmk.

@@XxUltimateGodzXx the change with 6th gear is stupid why sacrifice fuel mileage. 1 to 5 were good for racing since thats all you can "legally" go 6th gear and you're breaking the speed limit

Test drove one(same color) right after test driving a ‘19 MX-5 Club. Type R is fast, no doubt. But the Miata’s new 7,500rpm engine feels much more Honda-like than the Type R. Will be placing my order for a 2020 as soon as orders open up at my dealership.

Phenomenal handling on those on/off ramps.
