2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt - Is This The Best Non-Shelby Stang?

50 years has passed since Bullitt was released and Ford has once again bought back the iconic movie car to the streets with the 2019 #Ford #Mustang #Bullitt. With nearly 500 hp from its naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 that revs to 7,500 RPM. The latest Ford Mustang has all the specs of a supercar from just a few short years ago. But is it the best non-Shelby Mustang you can buy today or should buyers pass on this and just buy the new Performance Package 2 GT?

Bought mine in October and I love everything about it. I like that only people that know cars, actually know what it is. I have had countless men come up to me and ask me about it. Lots of "thumbs up" as I drive by and, of course, lots of people trying to race me. I've had a 2007 Toyota Rav 4 for 11 years...I TOTALLY deserved this car:)

Biggest reason I bought one (2020 model #L0478). The engine and tuned exhaust was #2. Driving it set the hook. So much fun to drive! It turns heads too... a bit of a movie star car as some have called it even though it looks sleeper with minimal badging...

This is Americas icon is priceless and a rare future classic muscle car will be worth a fortune soon the last of the petrol v8ts and the last example to only come with a dying manual transmission only in this model and this is what makes this car as rare as old school can get something that we will never see again it will end up being a show piece to remind us what it was realy like to drive a stick back in the day and what an experience it realy was. Salute to the mustang bullitt.

For any non-Shelby stang, I’d probably go with a GT Premium with PP2, as it would perform similarly to the Bullit with a couple small upgrades away from equalling or exceeding it, while having a wider range of colors and the digital instrument cluster, etc. (and $5-$10k cheaper) For a track-heavy car, I’d agree that it’s the next best thing to a Shelby though.

I bit the 2001 Bullitt when it was new. Now this was before there were pseudo-muscle cars everywhere. When the spark plugs were not shorting to the intake manifold on the Modular, it ran pretty good. But Overall not my cuppa. I think it was about 27K out the door. I say if you want a Bullitt get a worn out six-banger '67 secretary Mustang and transplant a 390FE , street cage and a top loader into it. Add long tube headers, crossover and dual 2" outlet cherry bombs. Cheaper than a new one and it will not loose value and it will be even more fun. BTW, only big blocks were muscle cars in the ate 60's and 70's. My '67 Chevelle SS 396 was one of the top dogs. - Sandy

i picked up my 2019 dodge challenger scatpack widebody in b5 blue and i love it. shes heavy but moves and roars loud plus handles greater then youd expect from a boat. with that said though its a tough call, i guess it just comes down to personal taste

That for performance pack 3 for the 2015-2017 is a intake manifold , cold air intake and tune and you get 60 hp. You get the same parts on this for 20 hp and you paying triple the money??

The most aggressive front end I’ve ever seen on any car, if anything a lot more aggressive than the challenger

With the Bullitt you either 'get it' or well... you don't... I don't think he really gets it. Too young..
