Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This week I drove the 2019 Fiat 500L including a trip down to Houston from Dallas. It was a great ride for the week and the trip and I really got to learn a lot about it. If you have any questions on the Fiat 500L be sure to leave them in the comments below. Leave me a thumbs up if you enjoyed the video and thanks for checking it out!

Hey guys! Thanks for checking out the video. What do you think about the Fiat 500L?

I'm glad that Fiat finally updated the 500L, but it's just not a well-marketed car. We had a 2014 and it's an excellent first family car. Fun, affordable and shockingly spacious for its size.

@@r335 We ourselves did not. But it would probably be good for the car if you drove it with the clutches in mind. IMO programming the car to auto-creep like traditional automatics was a bad idea.

I miss my 500L. I wasn’t into driving dynamics when I had it as I am now (ride quality , steering and handling) but trying to remember as much as I can I do recall never thinking about the ride , or handling in that car meaning it was great . I agree with everything said. Love the video.

We have a 2017 500L trekking... the Aisin 6 speed auto shifts so much better than the Chrysler 9 speed in the 500x. Sure it’s funky, but I can see behind me, and unlike the 500x, it doesn’t act like it’s unsure when to shift, but charges forward. I went to buy the 500x, but when I drove this one, I was sold, looks and all. Quick note, ride is firm, bad roads will be felt, but it handles well... it doesn’t feel as tall as it is.... and long distances can be covered comfortably....

He got the headlight function levers backwards. The dash button (under the radio) turns on the FOG lights and the turn signal stick has the regular headlights.

I like that two tone Italian look. Not so much the red but some of the others. They have upgraded the interior since I test drove one and I really liked the drive but went for the 500 lounge instead because of the 500 and X interior design. The ride through those windows is so cool on the L and maybe when I decide to trade in.......

Hi, I am so glad you reviewed this car. I own the 2018 500L City Cross S Design 1.4 fuel 95hp engine, in a two tone colour trim ( black roof, cream white body, black 17inch tyres, black door handles, black bumpers and side skirts, black mirrors, black trim finish around the headlights and tail lights. Here's the link to the photo album cloud.orange.be/share/onUaQuoEsD9eeOqH There is a picture in there where I am parked next to a Lounge version in the very same two tone colours but with the aluminium finishing (like the one in your review). Look at the rear bumper, just like the front bumper, the City Cross S Design has a tougher look because its bumpers have more structure and because the protective black panels go all over the wheel arches front to rear. Let me tell you about it : it's not fast, but in this car and my tiny country called Belgium, you just don't care. It's the roomiest and funkiest car in its class, the most stylish mini MPV you can buy. It parks like a golf kart with its"city mode" steering function (very light steering) and only 4.147m in length and parking sensors.Either you love it, or you hate it,there is no inbetween. My average speed over 23.000km now is 45kmh. I had no issues this far whatsoever. Speed limits are 30,50,70,90,120kmh from school roads to B-roads to highways. Never have I had the feeling of not being able to follow standard traffic. More so, overtaking is exciting as I can rev it to 6000rpm, when on temperature of course, the most powerful region is 4500-5500rpm. With 6 gears, at 110kmh at the highway, it revs 3000rpm with a rather high fuel usage of 7L/100km. You never feel the need to go fast in this, the comfort and great view offers you to enjoy the road and scenery from a different perspective. Being a simple natural aspirated car, maintenance is straight forward, cheap and predictable. Steering is light but suspension is firm, slow bumps are not taken smoothly but cornering at speed is no problem for this rather heavy little big gem (1295kg). They made it this heavy on purpose (in correct proportions) to firm it up so it withstands sidewind better and keep it steady with lots of mechanical grip. The great view and firm build quality (nothing feels cheap or light on this car like doors, door handles, seats, suspension, trunk,...) serve as premium safety features and this car has 8 airbags and optional knee airbag. It also has cruise control, electronic stability, rear view camera with sensors, electric mirrors, safety belt warning, tyre pressure indicator, phone integration with hands free buttons on the leather steering wheel,DAB radio with 4- 6 speakers and optional BEATS audio subwoofer system (pro tip: do not select this and save trunk space, the basic speaker system is sufficient), integrated 7 inch screen with TomTom navi, voice recognition commands for standard texting, phone or navigation or even selecting radio station,.... This car is seriously underrated because of its "inferior" engine and transmission. But it's so much more than that, it's a true family car with room for 4 adults and a dog and luggage for a small week (I did a holidayduring summer), while offering a steady comfortable ride with very agreeable road and wind noise (thanks to that firm build). I adore it,this little big gem, it's peculiar and a bit off, it's joy on wheels, not because it's a driver's car but because it's everything else. My wife suffers from a bone structure condition but in this car she is comfortable and relaxed. I actually have a natural tendency to drive sporty and I actually can do that if I really focus on it with this car (firm suspension, grippy 17inch tyres, NA engine, manual 6-speed, very decent braking) but it never feels like you're missing out if you don't, because it does it job of carrying people from A to B with great composure and comfort. In my situation, with a wife that struggles with her body and 2 kids of 8 & 10 and a limited budget of €16.500, it's the perfect car ♥️. Original price of this exact vehicle : €21.500 minus stock car bonus €1.000 minus FIAT action bonus €1.500 minus trading value of my previous car (16y old Opel Astra 1.7tdi with 250.000km on the counter) = €5.000 discount. *"Ok, what if you could tune or upgrade parts of this car? " The transmission and gearing lengths, it's not really responsive and 1st gear is way too short and 3rd to 5th is too long. I solve this by departing in 2nd gear (unless cold start) and downshifting for overtaking. I would fine tune the ECU too preferrably. *"Ok, what if you needed something bigger?" There is a wagon version of this car, adding significant trunk space but at a low cost of visual appeal. However it comes with a turbo offering 120hp, I think really necessary when carrying more weight. *"Ok, fuel economy is high with 7L/100km". Agreed, but consider that a diesel is €3000 more expensive, I travel lots of short distances so with a diesel not getting high enough temperature in its particle filter, it will cluth and break down eventually. It comes with a turbo to, so extra risk of a turbo failure. Also diesel is now, as our gouvernement wants to ban diesels from all cities, €1.55/L compared to fuel €1.35/L. That's a difference of €10 per tank of 50L. So I hope I brought you insight into this wonderful automotive underdoggy, it's a gem but you have to love it if you don't want to hate it 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

I use my 500L for luggage deliveries and other Courier work throughout the Catskills and Adirondacks, and have no problem zipping up even the steepest areas. Not going to impress anyone with its 0 to 60, but the engine definitely delivers power when needed. Does the second row on the 2019 still fold up, or just fold flat? Likewise, does the front passenger seat still fold flat? The flexibility for interior cargo space is what drew me to the model.

I own a 2014 500L since new, a Trekking with the DDCT. It has nearly 70,000 miles on the odo so far, and aside from a few flashes of a few computer modules early on, and just recently a change of an O-ring in the PCV valve (a drop of oil would drip somewhere onto the hot exhaust when braking hard once in a great while- a telltale that this O-ring is the issue), it's been stone reliable. And of all the cars I've had over the years (I'm 62 now), this one's my favorite. I guess I'm one of the few who loves the DDCT, but I treat it well, IAW the owner's manual. I think it's ride/handling compromise is just about perfect. No, it doesn't have sports car-like turn in, but with the Vredestein Quatrac 5's I have installed, it grips very well, rides well too. It's a car that I continue to enjoy driving, pretty much every single time I get in it. That little 1.4 liter turbo is a gem, and I've never been for want of more power, though a bit more would certainly be fun. And there's quite a bit more power to be had from it if you want to go the tuner route. 6.5 years of driving the less than stellar condition Pennsylvania highways and byways, and it's still tight as a drum. I just don't see parting with it. I'm even thinking of getting some Katzkin leather seat covers to give it a little more of a luxo feel, plus maybe install an aftermarket diverter valve, maybe even an EC tune. And some Alfa 4C coils. That ought to do it.
