If it competes with an XC40 that means also with an X1 and NOT an X3. X3 is in the same segment as Q5, GLC and XC60! XC40 would be X1, Q3 and GLA. So which segment is it?

Love the fact that Cadillac does their touch screen integration into the dash not sitting on it like an after thought! Still not a seamless voice activated system but cue seems to be more responsive! Keep improving & stay committed to design enhancements/integration & you'll have much success!

And that's how skewed our idea of car height has gotten. Anything over five feet overall height should count as a tall car - I think the lowest four-door ever was the original Acura Integra at just over 50" OAH.

owned our luxury (base) level XT4 for 8 months now. We love it! Great power on highway and street, great blend between luxury and sport ride quality, and good size back seat and trunk. Down sides: the base model doesnt have seat memory (sucks with a short wife), the doors don't make a nice sound when they close (I think its the side mirrors rattling, that shouldnt happen in a luxury car). Other than that. I love my XT4 and highly recommend.

GREAT video, shows off the great lines of this CUV. No 4 cylinder of any kind should go into a Cadillac, ever. It's the heart of a car. And this engine screams "cheap." That's everything a Cadillac is NOT supposed to be. Also the steering wheel would look good (not great, just good) in a Chevy Spark.

A very nice looking smaller crossover. I seriously doubt they will sell many fully loaded 55k dollar versions. But, they will sell quite a few 45-47k dollar, nicely appointed versions. And, a great many base versions at 36k. In fact, this is likely my wife's next new vehicle. She currently has a late model SRX Luxury Edition and wants something smaller. XT4, you came out just at the right time for this guys wife.

Pretty nice looking vehicle but that price tag is going to be tough. Opting out of AWD may save enough for the average consumer but many need AWD. However, no AWD means less weight and based on the powertrain will get good power-to-weight ratio similar to XC40. I would get the XT4 for power, size, decent fuel economy, and comfort for the price. The competition is really heating up. UX is coming into the picture soon too.

The Fast Lane Car I Saw one of these on the road the other day. Caught my eye because of how different it looks. I didn't catch much coverage on the interior fit and finish from you. The commands you were using to control the temperature were probably not the right ones, which is why it didn't work. We'll see how it does in a crowded field. Lease payments on one will be interesting considering that they incentive the XT5. Most companies don' t like discounting a fresh brand new product, so it could cause some crossover payments.

I hope the 237hp is enough and doesn't feel too sluggish. It's all new from the ground up, just like my XC40. I'll test drive this when it comes out, but I'm guessing the Volvo will end up being better. Plus, it's about $10k less than the Caddy when both are fully loaded.

I'm in the market for a similar size such as Lexus, BMW, Audi, GMC, Ford, I'm almost positive I going with Volvo XC40 T5 AWD R Design with the racing Polestar tuning.

200 mile range EV version would have been great around $50k, this is just another "me too" product. GM is playing catch up again.

JIGA BACHI so you’d rather wrench on a turbocharged four banger than say, a Buick 3800? The old pushrods were so simple and in my experience reliable.

Could the touchscreen be any smaller! It’s an antique gas guzzler right off the assembly line. Love the way the voice recognition works! This is Classic GM.

It looks really nice... the proportions are appropriate and fits well with Cadillac's "modern" design trend.

I miss the haptic feed back of the SRX we had. It just made sense and give the car more character and usability.

I found the engine noisy. Reminds me of the iron Duke 2.5 tech 4 from the 80's and 90's. The old 2.0 in the ATS and CTS is quieter but plenty quick enough to get you moving.

Sync3 then MyLincoln Touch worked finely with the voice audio climate control settings, I don't understand why GM engineers will not make that necessity available or standard especially in the Cadillac lineup with array of luxury vehicles.

I just test drove it. PRO: quieter and better ride than Lexus NX and Lexus ES350. Lots of power once you get past the turbo lag. Very nice interior with carbon fiber that has 2 colors. CON: slight turbo lag in the first 2 seconds. My 10 year old 2008 Scion xB with a 2.4 litre naturally aspirated engine does NOT have turbo lag.

I'll be getting this next October / November once the 2019 price drops when the 2020 models release. Too expensive with no good financing options.
