Yes, the 4th generation just came out in 2020.. but this is the previous one, the 3rd generation Toyota Yaris Hybrid that has been in production between 2017-2018.
When I was driving this car and the New Corolla Hybrid (few videos back), I thought their gearboxes were broken or something. I just learned that their automatic transmission called the E-CVT (continuously variable transmission) is an automatic transmission that can change seamlessly through a continuous range of gear ratios, and makes you feel like it would be constantenously on the same gear.

WHAT ABOUT THE CAR ?
👍 When I started the car, the fuel economy was @ 4,3L/100km, and when I finished my drive it ended @ 5,6L/100km (but I don't daily drive like an angry maniac). So with this car, you can easily expect 4L/100km 👍👍👍
👎 It's not fast, but then it's not made to be fast. So no cons for this car, because it gives you exactly what it's meant to be.

FYI : The Toyota Yaris Gold Limited Edition Y20 made in 2018 refers to 20 Years Anniversary since the first appearance on the Paris Motor Show in 1998.. and not refering to the 2020 year of production.

I have bought 3 of these models this year for close relations. There is no better hybrid for the money, most still have 6 or 7 years of warranty left.

My sister bought her first car in 2012, and it was a nearly new second hand Toyota Yaris III from 2012 (1.0 69hp manual transmission).. and till today she has that car who didn't face a single repair in 10 years!! Truly the most reliable car you can own. In the meantime, her husband had a 1 series Bmw & audi a4.. both were spending their time at the mechanic. This year, since she has two kids, she bought a brand new toyota highlander, fully equiped which I'm going to film as soon as there will be snow. And it's a hybrid. I hate to say that, but it also concern Lexus, hybrids in them are awfully loud. Thanks for watching & sharing your thoughts, 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you to share...i got one of the last with 0km still available in 2021 (It arrived in summer since i am completing a leasing). I plan to use it 2 times per year on Autobahn: is it fine?? I am 125 km/r driver so not a fast pilot lover LOL.

Ofcourse it will be fine :) It's one of the most sold cars on earth, for a reason : it last forever 😉
