Quick question if you remember did you have to cut that rubber panel that covers where the grommet is? I found it under the hood but I can’t find where it comes out inside the car.

How did it sound? Why didnt you use the lc2i for the remote wire?

I have the SE 2019 from Where can I get signal for the amp , I have 4 speakers one in each door

I try to tap into the rear amp but there 4 wires!! Now im stock lol cant find which is left /right +/-

I am running two Kickers 12” subs With a kicker cxa 1200.1 amp. You can find a wire diagram for the factory amplifer on the xse jbl on crutchfield.com. They will email you a copy with what each color wire means. You can splice or you connectors there and run the converter. From that converter you install, you will obtain the signal to run your RCAs to the aftermarket amp you are installing. My line out converter has a remote wire with it as well. For ground, and im not a professional but ive done this on multiple cars now... i try to find a bolt that holds down the rear seat. From there remove that bolt and sand down the area to get to bare metal. Once done. Get your ground wire with a O terminal at the end crimped on and feed it on to the bolt and bolt the seat back down. Honestly I think this works best and Never had a problem. For power- I would suggest feeding it through the driver side fender as there is always a rubber grommet there. Or feed it like this guy next to an existing one VERY CAREFULLY. Btw i also suggest getting a scosche line out converter as that has a remote wire built in with it and directions make it easy to install. Professional shops have been using these same types. Sadly i currently dont have the model but lmk and i will try to get it for you. Ok sooo... 😁 I just bought a 2019 Camry xse. Jbl. I will be installing soon. So im sure i wont be running into anything new but to those who do not want to splice wires, they sell connectors that will just snap onto the wire and therefore there isnt any real cutting involved. 🤟Hope ive helped those in struggle. Once installed i hope to add more info to this comment. BTW TO THIS VIDEO CLEAN INSTALL ON THE WIRES TUCKED INTO THE SEAT. Hope you respond as to whats the best way to follow the same routine. I know most fabric is just done with a simple tuck and fold routine but let me know. GOOD JOB. 👌👍

Do you remember the colors of the rear speaker you tapped into for LOC signal? There are 100 different answers online but my left rear speaker is solid yellow and solid light blue. I have an 18 xse with jbl

Did you ever figure this out? I have the JBL and haven't got a clue where to get the signal in to my LC2i Pro

I am up late doing this to my 2018 Camry SE. It doesn't have JBL. When you said you connected to the cigarette lighter did you mean the 5A fuse for P/Outlet No 1. How in the hell did you connect a wire to that micro-fuse? Did you just solder it? I am curious.

they make an awesome fuse tap where it easily connects to any fuse of your choice...they sell them on ebay/amazon for less than $5.00

The vehicle came with the factory amplified jbl system and the customer wanted to add a sub and he liked the idea of keeping everything jbl so we did the jbl subs

The emergency brake is removed, that's what make this look easy.

I didn’t remove the emergency brake. I ran it through the grommet

I did the install and when I remove the key or put it on I get feed back to the bass , I’m trying to figure out what bt mic to disconnect?

Jusb81 found it in the panel where the seat belt is on the driver side. I did this a few weeks ago but if I remember, there's a white with a light blue stripe and a white with red/orange colored stripe I tapped into.

Did you tap into the rear or front speakers? I'd like to get both L/R going to the sub. It may be easier to just go straight from the HU as it seems all of the panels are pop clips. I just don't trust a shop to treat my panels with care...not trying to end up with broken clips and or creaky panels for life.

The standard sound system in the SE sucks

Can I use any type of line out converter? I got one from amazon it was $8 and I installed it and got no sound from my 2 12 kicker comps that are wired to a kicker mono amp? Unless I did something not right on the wiring part? I have 2019 xse with jbl system

Cameron Harper I would definitely spend the extra money to get a quality LOC. It makes a big difference. Also look into getting a dmm or 12v tester.

Cameron Harper it would work but it won’t be nearly as good as using the one I used. Especially if your vehicle has bass roll off. So you’re saying your system doesn’t work ? Does your amp turn on ? Where did you tap into for signal on the loc?

Nader 262 yea amp works power light on! Umm I tap into the door speaker wiring! But I was told that I just need to tap into the jbl subwoofer wiring! That should send signal to the kicker subs from mono amp! Went to a car stereo shop and that’s what they said! Just basically running 2 12 kicker comp subs to factory amp and radio along with jbl speakers

Hey so I just purchased the line out converter that you use to install the subs to factory jbl in your video umm can you tell me what do I need to tap into and what do I need to wire and get it to wear subs get signal? Thanks

have you had any problems with the stock jbl since? I installed an aftermarket amp with mine when I got it and it fried the factory amp and volume control after half hour of being installed.

Se dont have an amp only the xse with the jbl system
