2018 Tesla Model S 75D Buyers Guide and Info

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Model S 75D offers all-wheel drive for amazing traction in wet slippery and even snowy conditions as well as added performance, 0-60-mph in a little over 4 seconds. Fully charged the maximum range on a 2018 75D is about 240-260 miles, about the same as a 2018 Model 3 Standard Range. But unlike the 3 which is a smaller entry level luxury vehicle, the Model S is a big spacious full on luxury sedan with a lot plusher and premium interior.

Another amazing thing about Tesla is that the mileage doesn't really matter. You can take advantage of the fact that the prices are decreasing in value for the older cars almost similar to gas cars, but the thing with tesla's is the mileage isn't nearly as important than on gas cars. Gas cars you start to get worried about the mileage around 150,000 especially 200,000 miles, but with electric cars they can last 1,000,000 miles, the only worrying factor is the battery losing it's maximum capacity over time, not the state of the engine.

But why aren’t miles important? I’m curious because I’m looking at used teslas and I’m scared to get one over 75000 😮

You are lightly Wrong about Model 3 Standard Range Fully charged, the range is less than you are saying.... the SR+ plus have maximum 240 miles, the range of a SR RWD are lower, 220 miles maximum. I dont now about your Tesla, but I have a Tesla Model S 75D 520 hp and i am able to make 270 miles if my consumption average stay below 170kwh with speeds between 50/60 miles...

Not sure where you are driving at 50-60mph...our freeways are 75mph and I usually drive right at that speed to increase my range (while on road trips)

@@MahA-pr7kr Yes, recent research has shown that with about 150-200k miles most Tesla batteries lose about 10-15% capacity. That still fairs better than most gas-powered vehicles with that number of miles, because generally they start leaking oil and can develop other issues, where the EV just has less range. Tesla battery failure on 2016 models and newer is at .03% despite all the unfounded fear you hear in the media "what happens when your battery fails?" What happens when your engine fails? Thats expensive too, especially on a high-end car.
