Great detailed review, call me old fashion but I think the 07-12 Ls460 was the best looking LS. That 07-12 Ls screams Classy and sporty! To me this generation LS is more dedicated to the Japanese culture with its design language. It's a lexus so the most important aspect is that it will be more reliable than its German competitors.

I’m so jealous that you can review Lexus cars and just be around their beauty. Lexus is my favorite brand because the cars are sooo beautiful, reliable and affordable compared to other luxury brands. That’s why I don’t understand why others favor Mercedes, BMWs, and Audi’s when Lexus combines luxury AND reliability for less. I love cars and just cannot wait until I’m out of college so I can start working and buying myself one of these beauties. Or maybe a Toyota Camry 2018 because they really did an amazing job with the styling this year and they’re the parent of Lexus haha

Bruce Mondrafon yes it's a dream come true. Lexus is the value brand of the luxury world with the best reliability and durability! Infiniti and Acura are a bit lower on the pecking order but not up to Lexus standards.

LEXUriouS Kirk Can I ask how you started working as a car salesman for Lexus? Sorry, I am going to go to college soon and majoring in mechanical engineering in order to work on cars someday. Hopefully work for Lexus or Toyota *crosses fingers*. While that is my goal, I am open to alternatives and think that being a car sales man seems like a cool prospect. Seeing as how you have so much freedom and can review the best cars!

Bruce Mondrafon it was as simple as applying for the position, nailing the interview, and being personable. I do have a lot of freedom, and the only thing they care about is getting cars sold which is pretty easy to do.

I have Ls400. 460 and 430. Now a happy owner of LS500. Let me tell u all. It’s the best of the bunch. Superb performance and comfort !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

h2o247 The steering wheel has leather around it so it can be heated all around . It also has Corning light that comes on by the. Directions of wheels

I love this car. I’m dropping my dentist salary on this baby. Even though I can afford a bmw, Benz and Audi, I’d take Lexus over them all day.

LEXUriouS Kirk same to you brother. My only suggestion though is to get like a camera mount to fix the phone one place like in front of you while you drive because I can imagine the struggle to hold it and drive.

Haters are going to hate. Lexus stepped up its styling from its earlier years. Lexus gives you cars that look like the future, while the other give you modern day luxury cars. Just an observation.

I sincerely hope to buy a hugely depreciated LS within 2 and a half years!! This car is so underrated

I have the 500h and love the comfortable ride; specifically the thigh extenders and surprised by the quick takeoff. I just learned about the Hybrid Air Filter that is essential to maintaining the Hybrid battery but was unaware that the standard Lexus Maintenace does not appear to check the filter every year as suggested. The interior is elegant and is going to require me to upgrade my wife's Hyundai to an Lexus.

Regarding bumpy ride. I have been researching why manufacturers are infatuated with 20 inch wheels having only 2 inches of rubber which do nothing to absorb BUMPS much less small objects, pot-holes, broken cracked concrete freeway lanes. And small rocks even. These cars are in no way intended to be performance cars, track cars so begs the question? Why NOT a 15 to 16 inch wheel offering large sidewall so as to ABSORB bumps, debris an so on? I have witnessed these tire wheel packages just shatter - think about it folks. There is no space between the air blatter and the aluminum wheel depending on air pressure in the tire. The tire cannot bend or give in (Flex) if struck suddenly at 75 MPH On say the I-40. Another example: If these thin tires are so great! Why don’t 4X4’s use them exclusively? I know why! They cannot absorb rock impacts. Sharp edges of rocks. There IS NO SIDEWALL flex either! The Lexus engineers need desperately to reexamine this serious issue in my humble opinion. $120,000 car mandates this be done now. Screw the run-flats. Waste of consumers $$$

I can't tell how much I love this car! Unfortunately it is soooo underrated! But people need to realize this is the best example of luxury sedan which, thanks to the great efficiency of the hybrid system, enables you to save money in the long run! Also, it is characterized by a huge deal of attention to details, especially the Kirico glass trim which makes me understand Lexus engineers and crafters really know how to get things together!! I sincerely hope to buy a used model within 5-6 years! You actually don't get to see many of them here in Italy! In addition, I hope you and your family are staying safe and doing fine during these quite tiresome times! Peace

I believe this is the 5th generation LS and not 4th as indicated in the video. The first 2 generations (1989-1994 & 1994-2000) were both LS400. The 3rd generation (2000-2006) was LS430. The 4th generation (2006-2017) was LS460 and LS460 L with the LS600h L being added a year later.

Fun fact, if you ever run out of gas in the middle of nowhere, you can break the paddle shifters off, and use them to start a fire 🔥 to keep you warm outside🙌

F-Sport review please!

One thing I dont like about the center arm rest is that it's not very solid and feels cheap

Best hands down.. better than the sclass or bmw 7 series. Can’t wait until I get mine in December!! Great video Champ!

How’s the Mark Levinson reference system? I only have the ML premium surround in my es350 but apparently the reference system is in a whole other league?

Mark Levinson in the ES is far superior to the standard system. If you rarely turn up the volume, then you don't need it 😉

I didn't notice. I would get the pano sunroof if you'll have company in the back often, otherwise it's not really usable for the driver...unless you enjoy the extra sunlight in the cabin.

The camera functions as a safety check for small children say on a tiny trike-years ago we had two toddlers killed during the course of backing up of the vehicle. Cheers Retired L.E.

Go white if you want your car to look clean most of the time without having to wash it 1-2x a week. Go black if you have the ability to keep it clean. Black looks awesome, but only when it's spotless. If you live in a snow region, get white. I hope that helps.

The highest mileage I'll see is in the mid 200,000's but I haven't been working very long at Lexus.

I did the same w/ my ‘08 LS 460. I just bought the F-Sport version of this ‘20. It’s exceeded my expectation and gone a long way toward assuaging my feel8ngs from the loss of my ‘08. Love the lines on the car, gorgeous, not to mention the speed and exceptional suspension. Far superior!

It’s a luxury it’s not going take part in drag race against its European competitors,how much power do you need in today’s world population has increased a lot nobody wants a rocket ship which has to go to mars.

I can’t figure out why they recessed the touchpad. It is going to collect crumbs, beard hairs, skin flakes, dirt, etc. Another manufacturer, can’t remember which, raised the touchpad, which makes it easier to keep clean.

The audi a8 has the best interior. But plan too experience that luxury stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. 😁. When it breaks down on you.

Straps are for an umbrella.

“vortex simulator”, for when you want to just pretend to generate a vortex. likewise, lower the car to get in/out so you can work on the ass-to-grass squats.

Transmissions kicks on low gears are terrible, I bought one made them replace it then took the second one which did the same thing back and traded it on an LX 570, nightmare ordeal

I test drove a 2019 this year that had the same exact downshift kick you mentioned. It was so dramatic i couldn't believe it so i did another hard pull and when i released the gas it did it again. I told the sales rep about it and he seemed to think it was due to the transmission "learning my driving style" but that's bs. Needless to say i left that particular vehicle in the dust and ultimately bought one from another lexus dealer and this one has been absolutely flawless, save from having to replace one of the brand new run flats after driving over a screw - one tire was nearly 500 bucks but hey, u have to pay to play. That said, any man made machine can have mechanical issues or failures but things like that should not be considered typical or the norm. Most importantly, they should not be ignored.

a failure on the lexus level !! test drove this and found the cramped interior a disappointment .low ceiling and now disappointing reliability issues. 2015 Lexus LS460L . here 2010 tundra 4.6
