You are not going to hear this too many times for me but he actually said something that made sense. The exhaust system is undersized for the car. It makes about 365 horsepower so you should have at least 2.25" exhaust piping under that. The fact that the only thing he replaced was a mufflers in the back with Vibrants was a very smart idea You can hear the exhaust note and the blowoff valve without it being obnoxious or overly loud. It fits the car perfect. The only thing I would do to the vehicle next is come back later and get a full 2.25" exhaust for it. Outside of that this was a good job.

What's the point of having factory resonators and the Vibrant resonators? would't just the vibrants make it sound better? just wondering

@@r335 so the theory is that…in this case Kia, has added their stock resonators which sit under the main cabin of the car. usually if you delete those with a test pipe you get lots of drone inside the vehicle. you can definitely change them to less restrictive resonators but usually unless you get an actual full cat back exhaust a company has spent money on testing and building to be loud but does not drone or rasp you risk getting that. i’m with you, i think it would sound better that way…but maybe the owner didn’t want to be obnoxious? who knows

@@johnc.hammersticks I never see a high performance Kia do a burnout. It's mostly high performance muscle cars such as the Ford Mustang GT, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, SRT8, Demon and Chevrolet Camaro SS and ZL1. Also most high performance sedans like the Dodge Charger SRT8, Hellcat, Scatpack and Daytona can do a burnout too. So it's mostly high performance American cars that can do that. I don't think a car from the Korea's can do a burnout.

@@Carspotter682 I've been building cars for 30 years, anything can do a burnout if you know what you are doing if you have 400hp it's easy to light up the tires, new cars have traction control you can't turn off all the way. I bought my 00 mustang GT new and with 260hp/320ft/lbs I could do 3rd gear burnouts. I put a Mach 1 32v in it built-up everything but the crank 472hp 505ft/lbs I could do rolling burnouts at 40mph or more. It's about the driver not the car 99% of the time.

You can really hear the twin turbo when reving the engine up

Yep, you absolutely right with the 2.5" piping front to back. Waaaay more flow, but not too much with that hp/tq numbers!! Impressed with the oem bottle style resonators and xpipe!

Yep, very nice styling. It looks like a car and not a gaming mouse, like pretty much all little sports cars made in the last decade tend to.

An idea would be to do the 2.5" piping starting after the primary downpipes, remove secondary cats (will not throw code) and run either those 1790 or 1792 Vibrant resonators, x-pipes out to tips. It would drone a bit but not as bad as without the Vibrant resonators or x-pipe.

@@desimationSecondary cats do not have sensors, primary downpipes you would either need an ECU tune from Lap3, Tork Tune, etc. or some sort of co2 bypass.

My stinger has a full 3” system from the headers down to the exhaust, runs on E85, and swapped the twin turbos out for a 75mm Garrett turbo, she’s wrapped in B5 pearlcoat, (color is from mopar) and just got her dyno’d at 636hp 758lbs of tq

For anyone wondering I just did this same thing to my stinger and it had bad drone from 2k-2.5k rpm’s and other than that you can’t even tell it had different Muffers other than at idle

Can i get some peoples advice on my car exhaust? On my profile i have some clips of it+setup in description. Anyways, if you know vr6 engines, youll know that they can get pretty droney easily, which im afraid of doing to the car. What i am thinking of doing is replacing my 2 straight throughs with either flowmaster super 44's or magnaflow(but i think these are also straight through..), then replace the 2 resonators(one on each pipe) after the cats with vibrant resonator 12 or 18" depending on space(18" prefered) to clear it up even more but hopefully not too much drone. Thats idea 1. I have a second mached up idea which is to delete the 2 resonators and put a single big one where the exhaust is connected as one pipe which used to have the big ol suitcase on it(i deleted it already)

If Kia and Hyundai could do a few years without catastrophic failures and recalls I could only imagine how well they would do. This car has recalls for ABS module failure which could result in fire due to leaking fluid and shorting out as well as the main writing harness shorting out in the wheel well causing any number of failures. Edit : they are nice looking vehicles and have amazing interiors for less money compared to Japanese and German luxury alternatives but they keep using cheap parts to build them .

Eventually they'll get there lol, as the same time though every brand and model has a recall of some sort. Kias just seem to be more destructive. I honestly really like the cars though, very nice features for price.

They have an Anti Brake System module recall that causes fire? Lol. Stingers are a lot more reliable than you think. I can tell you’ve never been in one. Interesting opinion of somebody who daily drives a bumperless Subaru forester. I’m sure you know tons about luxury!

Can you explain “cheap” parts? Stingers have forged internals, nappa leather seats heated/cooled, 15 Herman Kardon speakers and more.

@@Kzxo apparently you haven’t read the recall. I have read it as well as the other over 5 million Kia/Hyundai recalls over the last 4 years and the fact they paid a $137 million dollar fine to the NHTSA for violations . They also recently lost a class action law suit in Canada forcing them to do a lifetime warranty on all Theta and Theta 2 engines in 2.0 and 2.4 configurations. Edit: the reason I know so much about the recalls is I have done my home work . The car in my profile picture was a 2001 Toyota Mark 2 imported from Japan with a 1JZ-GTE VVTI engine that I would regularly beat Kia Stingers with . It had a stock 20 year old engine with a turbo back exhaust , upgraded intercooler and Blitz boost controller. When it was time for a newer car because I have children I looked at the Kia Stinger and Genesis G70 but after doing research I found out they are horrible Korean junk and bought a 2020 Infiniti Q50s . Which has no recalls. If you don’t believe me just google “Kia Stinger recalls” and read the postings . www.cars.com/research/kia-stinger/recalls/

@@Kzxo “Cheap Parts” refer to the fact that they reuse parts in all cars . The ABS module you laughed about is in multiple cars and they all have recalls for the same issue. They have fuel rail leaks and fuel pressure regulator recalls for leaking onto the exhaust manifold or turbo causing fire. Steering rack recalls because they used a faulty connection which causes you to lose steering while driving . Oil pick up tubes clogging causing oil starvation. Wiring harness failures . The new Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride are under recall because the factory installed trailer wiring harness can short causing fire .So many recalls for fire that they have sent out multiple bulletins to customers that say “park your vehicle outside to avoid garage or structure fire “ .Multiple news outlets show they have had to recall 5.8 million cars and SUVs for engine fire and failure.

The factory exhaust really is underwhelming. I put an MBRP cat back on mine. Much louder than stock inside and out. It is 2.5" all the way through.

Color is awesome but he needs some strong heart n Make it sound deeper with magnaflow chamber exhaust get rid of all the resonator...make it sound deeper n it will please the ears no doubt abt that....
