2018 CAT 257D SKID STEER Plowing Fluffy Snow CAT 420F BACKHOE

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We had a small amount of snowfall but it was very fluffy and easy to push. Using our skid steer and backhoe to move the snow at the storage locker once again. Looking forward to a storm we are supposed to get today into tomorrow!

    Skid steers have wheels. Compact track loader. 👍

    Way less time if you plow down the center...then windrow your outside passes inward. Then hit center again to clean up. This way the outside snow has somewhere to go and it's not double the amount and you don't end up chasing the windrows

    Theodore tanks. My late husband didn’t teach me that because we thought he’d live forever and it wasn’t my department. He didn’t think I’d ever need the skills even though we owned several skidsteers and trucks. Thanks for the tip.

    Looks like you need a quick attach box blade for your skidsteer, so you can scoop your center windrow into the end piles.

    The sideways Tundra footage was pretty cool. Maybe a drifting around a building video is in order?

    Funny how different operators run equipment differently. When I’m running a skiddy I always just curl the blade back to lift it rather then lift the boom. Find it easier to keep the blade angle correct that way

    just used to doing it this way that's all, when thew snow is over a foot deep curling the blade back drags all the snow back with you so we have to lift over snow! thanks for the comment.

    Now just imagine how much faster it would be to quit windrowing the same snow back and forth

    I miss the agility of a skid steer when plowing snow, so easy to just spin around and change direction.

    Would it be quicker to just make passes pushing the snow outwards and away from the building instead? Genuinely interested here not trying to tell an expert how to do their job

    Super inefficient plowing. Rather than plowing it to sides/piles, you plow it onto the centre and have to run multiple times on the same spot!

  • @stukaman1162
    @stukaman11624 жыл бұрын

    You're as fast as you are inept and wasteful. You clean off one area, and then proceed to push snow from another place where you just plowed, requiring you to go over that area yet another time. I guess this kind of work does lend itself to being paid by the hour, though.
