How is it so far

The dashboard layout almost reminds me of the E70 X5's interior but with a modern twist, anyways its way better then the outgoing X3 model and I'm glad they're making the lower end model more appealing.

looks like a missed opportunity to drive it at motorway speed? Not sure if you briefly reached those speeds, but was really looking forward for an extended run which never happened :-( Also is this really 30i? in BMW UK site I can only see 20i and 40i

milocapslock X1 is based on MINI. This one is a lot more comfortable. Even 3 series have better ride quality.

The Q5 was on my shortlist as well! I am drooling at the Nardo Grey colour but will stick back with the current manufacturer as my X1 has not given me any issues thus far. Gas wise I am a petrolhead so petrol all the way :)

I thought the car would automatically shift gears once it hits the red line even if you are in manual mode

Yes, love that interior! But with the T6 I hear it is not half bad to drive... obviously not a sports car but not a lumbering SUV either.

SamV313 The XC60 he drove was the range topping T8. Doesn’t compare to this: much more expensive, and much more power, too. The M40i would compare to that. If you want things well loaded for the same price, than the X3 30i compares to the XC60 T5, or the T6 if you don’t mind paying a premium for the Volvo... The infotainment system on the X3 (all new BMW’s in general) is way better that the one in the XC60 (too confusing + forcing (nearly) everything through the touch screen). BMW’s iDrive is the best in the business IMO.

From his turn out from the parking lot, I can already see/feel the weirdness in steering input to the turning output of the car. Exactly the same looking/feeling as my former 2016 GTI, which I am not fond of. Traded in the GTI for a 2.5L Mazda 3, the steering is back to normal again, and IMO miles better than Mk7 GTI's.

Forester is more like RAV4's competitor. It's not even close to the X3 or any other premium offering.

yes they are my favorite turn signals by far electronic with two click modes. a half click for 3 signals for switching lanes, and a full click which turns the signals on until you finish turning.

The BMW dashboards still carry trims that remind me outdated, freaking finishing accents as seen on cars built in the 1990's.

What can I do to have a job like you sir?

Have you already tried the Forester XT for comparison? Same size and same power I think :)

I currently have a 2011 Accord. How would this match up to it in terms of comfort and power?

Extra sound piped into the cabin, I cant stand that. I like cars that sound good naturally, not with fake noise.

I’m contemplating between this car and the Audi Q5 TFSI. Please guide me as to which one has a better build quality and a softer ride. Thanks!

papoopa5800 never buy an Audi. They're for dumbass people with very low iQ. Choose between X3, GLC, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Jaguar F-Pace or even E-Pace, and if you can afford it - a Porsche Macan.

Yes, it's the space saver tire. That hump is very unfortunate and you lose the cargo accessory rails as a result of that complete lid for the tire.

BMW X3 for sporty feels, but Mercedes glc for luxury. Which ever you prefer

Around 6.5 seconds in wet...

You should be more careful about the water on the camera lenses. However, the video is still amazing.

It reflects the natural motion used with every shift pattern since the beginning of shift patterns. Reverse is always in front of drive on conventional shifter stocks. Therefore it only makes sense that of you’re in drive, you push the stock forward to get into reverse.

KZread Fi car or motorcycle has to be broken in at different speeds, RPM’s, etc. don’t buy a new car and go on a road trip on cruise control. I did that once and the car was driving weirdly when I was passing 70MPH where the engine ran for 1800 miles on cruise. It’s like the top speed was 70 instead of 160.

picked up a x3 30i 2 months ago. I am not a fan of the way it sounds, it's like a sewing machine....otherwise, it''s a terrific machine

just be aware that by 2027, new cars will be completely driverless.

This is better than the GLC, but i cant own a BMW cuz they break constantly .. very unreliable
