Question soyfan or anyone. The safety tech that Chrysleruses is it still part of the Mercedes benz group part sharing? I noticed the blind spot detection is the same as used on Mercedes vehicles with the yellow than red triangle when someone approaches.

How are these after 100k though? How much in repairs in that span? Odyssey owner here looking for AWD capabilities but do not like the sienna. Thanks

The Pacifica was not based on the Mercedes R-Class. The 2004-2008 Pacifica was based on Chrysler's minivan platform. The Pacifica used Chrysler transverse mounted V6s and a Chrysler Transaxle. I say transaxle because the Pacifica was a fwd with awd being optional. The R-Class used Mercedes Longitudinally mounted engines and transmissions due to it being rwd and awd being optional.

This, and they didn’t share any engines or transmissions with each other. Similar looking vehicles, but different cars all together.

Wild thought here, but I do wonder if Town & Country is more of a title than a vehicle. Ie. crossovers/SUVs are the big trend now, and I wonder if the FCA released a crossover called the Town & Country.

But will they still eat transmissions every 30,000 miles?

Sure, 3.6L v6 pushing almost 290hp. 4300lb car with a 6.8 0-60 time. You can burnout at the lights. You won't beat much but v6 challengers, Mazda/Fiat mx5/124 spider, and most economy cars. This thing is just heavy but has an amazing engine

Am I the only ones who can't wait till they have kids so they can get a minivan? I swear these things are fucking awesome and they're usually fast as shit.

Please get the new Odyssey soon so you can compare the both!

Unfortunately we know, in 6 months of ownership, we had to repair/replace 2 bumpers and these computerized air shutters that break off when you scrape the front bumper. Cost us over $2000.00 to fix both times. This last time the shutter thing rubbed through the air conditioning condensor-we have no air conditioning. Don't buy if you live in a hilly area! Or get a lift kit for it!

Limited is running 50k with options but with all the rebates like trucks have (thanks Trump for the "American" car deal, this car is made in Canada) It really lowers the price. Got mine for $27,500

Alpha_Trion odyssey, this will break after 60,000 miles while the odyssey will run strong past 200,000 miles

I know just why Americans are going for SUVs/Crossovers. Three words: All Wheel Drive. If the Pacifica had that, I would go for it, but now, I'm going for the GMC Yukon XL Denali.

Like how Honda and Toyota has? Has Honda even found a fix for their third row seat magically unlatching in an accident? Has Toyota found a cure for that pesky sliding door opening while driving? You can add them up, but since 2015, Toyota Sienna alone had more recalls than the Town and Country. Honda odyssey is not doing much better either. Don't take my word for it, go look it up.

Looks nice but this is the kind of vehicle you want to be completely trouble free for a ten year ownership plan. My money would go to the Sienna.

The door sounded really bad when he shut it but yet still he says ok (IF it was a Toyota that did that he'd be saying "typical Toyota"or some BS).Those seats aren't even real leather.These vehicles don't last,it's going to fall apart in 3-5years. These are the same guys like Redline Reviews & TFL who said the Chrysler 200 was the next best thing & better than the Accord & Camry but the 200 turned out to be GARBAGE & is now being discontinued. This guy is bias towards certain brands & as a reviewer I don't think that's right towards his viewers.

It's all in knowing and identifying a product's intended mission, see if it stands up to it and then make the review. This guy is always trying to compare the handling to Mazda, or make a complain about the plastics or engine choices. What if X or Y vehicle never intended to have Mazda's handling, or soft touch plastics, or a powerful engine? Well you know who's going to complain about it. If you care to know why I'm still here, is because there's still a lot of positive things about Sofyan's reviews, like the thorough exterior and interior reviews, and the 0-60 reactions are very much priceless! Also, check out AlexOnAutos, I think his reviews are the most objective in KZread.

I came from a Mazda CX-9 to this Pacifica and can tell you, it is not a Mazda in handling, but pretty darn close. Better planted than a Sienna or Sedona. I also owned a 2010 Mazda3 hatchback.
