I test drove this car today and then watched your video. You were very informative and helped me remember some of the features of the car. I also drove the Lexus RX350. While it rode nicely and is a very pretty car, it felt too big. I like the more compact feel of this car. I will test the other cars you recommend before I make a final decision.

Love this car ..... Just drove a BASE Luxury Cadillac loaner today .... Not as many toy's as my 2015 SRX but very nice. My plan s are to trade in the fall for a 2018 platinum . The fact that Cadillac gives you 4 years of maintenance on the XT5 and only 4 years on CT6 . .... More reasons to buy the XT5 . Oh and you are the only person in the reviews on line to mention the REAR hatch opens by waiving your foot under the bumper ...

With all due respect, I'm here to see the car's interior exterior not pictures from Cadillac official website thrown between a selfie video. I'm just trying to give some suggestions so hopefully people and eventually you might benefit from: close in on the dashboard, buttons, opening and closing arm rests cupholders, plugs USB aux etc, cheapness or quality of the material used, leg room, head room, ride comfort and how you can feel road imperfections "good suspension", noise level, and THE MOST important thing I never ever find anyone talking about is How comfortable the seats are, it's a huge deal breaker for me especially for luxury cars you can give points out of 10 so people can compare.. All cars youtube channels websites and tv shows waste 80% of the time talking about engines and how fast or nimble which is ridiculous when they're talking about a sedan or family SUV or luxury car, it should be the least important thing on the list even after fuel economy. Good luck and wishing you all the best.

+mctaboo Actually, I'm known on all my car reviews for grading seating comfort and "lumbar" as #1, then visibility. A vehicle will never get more comfortable over time. On the XT5, the ride comfort was excellent as far as road response. Of course, this depends on where you live and road conditions. Northern states tend to have more potholes and expansion joints. They had us test the vehicle on specific roads in CA. I suggest that you take the vehicle for a test drive, make sure to see how easy it is to make a U-turn, get in and out of a parking spots, and if it fits in your garage or parking space. These are daily factors that will impact your satisfaction. The review mirror takes some getting used to, I don't recommend driving with it on, but its great for changing lanes in traffic and backing up. As for controls, since most of the buyers and drivers are women; I'm very aware of operating and reaching the controls with nails. The new XT5 is far improved over the SRX, from literally every aspect. I appreciate your feedback. Please let me know if you need more information.

Hi Lauren.a Little late but I was looking over your video because I am considering a 2017 used platinum XT5 white with jet black bronze inserts ,I don't know what that is but I hope it will brighten up the interior because white is my least favorite next to silver lol But the car is only $20000 with 30000 miles seems like a no brainer! With tinted windows I can make that white car look great and what do you think my other choices the mks 2017 for $23000 reserve thank you in advance

We leave our reviews up forever to help those with used cars. Don’t just make a decision based the year, mileage and price. Make sure to have an ASE technician go through the vehicle, if the deal is too good to be true typically it is. If it’s a flood damage car do not buy it. There is no warranty. If the vehicle truly is in excellent condition with good maintenance records and new issues. Then you’ve got yourself an awesome vehicle at a great price.

Going to test drive the XT5 tomorrow. We loved the Lincoln MTX, it was quite nice. We didn't care for the Audi Q5, it was just too bland and we want techie type features. Now we are stuck between the XT5 and MTX. I just ran across your channel, good information. Any ideas on how we should compare the XT5 vs the MTX? Thank you so much for your input.

  • @CarCoachReports

+Jay Fahrenheit thanks for watching and subscribing. The XT5 has some really nice technology. The MKX has the new sync 3 which offers voice to text. The other option is the Audi Q7 which offers the Virtual Cockpit, this is very cool tech also. You may want to consider the Infiniti QX60 and others in the category. I'd test drive all of them for seating comfort, visibility and technology.

Lauren Fix okay we'll open up the search. I'll keep you posted as we make decisions. FYI-We kind of felt like for the dollar the American cars provided more or just as many of the features that we wanted. Does the Cadillac off park assist? Thank you

Lauren Fix Thank you, we just found out Cadillac has it on other cars but not an actual "self park" feature on the XT5. It's still a great SUV just like you described. Also the rear view camera is only offered on the "Luxury Platinum" model. Still great though! Thank you for your insight.

I took a test drive in one of these yesterday evening and for $60K plus for a fully loaded trim level I would slap myself to see if I was high if I bought one.Its a fancy little cramped "BOX" with cadillac badging and style. But make no mistake, this is not a luxury crossver. Yes, it has loads of the latest technology and the that Red Crmson paint sparkles. The wood inserts, aluminum, leather is fine and well executed. But the flat board like seats with the straight up back is like leaning against a wall. not very comfortable. The engine is peppy and the cabin is relatively quiet but the Dash seems to jut out way to much and while driving with the sales manager I felt cramped without much room to stretch or move. It hardly has any storage in the rear unless you don't need much. The XT5 is not a "worthy" replacement for the SRX and Cadillac should be ashamed promote this as a luxury crossover. Sorry Lauran one of my favorite car reviewers, its a sad little car.

What a pointless review. All positive advertising. Nothing about the lack of knobs on the infotainment system, just tiny touch pads that are impossible to use when the car is moving. NOTHING about the auto stop system that shuts the engine off at every stoplight and the lack of a switch to turn it off.
