I'm not a mom, I'm not even a women but I own and love my Outback 3.6r. Whatever people think these are "mom cars" need to get their heads out of their ass.

Yeah, lots of fragile male egos in America. I love my 3.6R. I often drive on logging roads and pass up SUV's and trucks who have to drive very slow to not bounce all over the place. There's plenty of videos of Subies out performing offroad vehicles too. Call me a lesbian if you like. I'm a likalottapus loving my Subaru Outback.

So true I’ve had nothing but fun with mine. Even though it isn’t the best looking it’s power makes up for it.
I am an enthusiast. I love my 3.6R!!!! I wanted a WRX but I have kids and needed a family car so got the 3.6r. I have not regretted it at all. Fun to drive, power when I need it.

Still love it ? I just bought a 3.6r
I'm also an enthusiast and took delivery of my 3.6R last month. It's one of those vehicles that does just about everything you need or want a vehicle to do. My wife drives an SRT Charger Great review man!

what does it to do with your wife drives a charger.
I'm an enthusiast, and I'm looking into a 3.6 Outback. Pretty interested in them

We seem to have similar tastes in cars!
This was great. A down to earth, enthusiastic review that can be understood by just about everyone. Heavily considering the 2018 3.6r Limited in that flat tan.
Probably my favorite vehicle since I’ve been driving. The outback.
My 3.6 is lowered 1", with Bilsteins with a tune, and intake and the car can be made for an enthusiast.
I love my 3.6R. I also love how people assume it's a "mom car" on the road and then you just rip right past them. Handles well on windy mountain roads as well.

Amnesia Beach haha. I have beat some modified civics when they thought they were up against a mom car.
Yep, I can agree with most of what you said about the 3.6R. I bought a 2019 and it puts my 4x4 truck to shame. Not sure what you means about it not being nimble in tight situations, but if you've ever driven a full size truck off-road then you'd say the 3.6R is as nimble as a chimpanzee with the speed of a cheetah. In fact, I bought this to eventually do full off-roading with it. The theme I got from XV and other Subie owners was they wished their car had more power. Well, the 3.6R does. Yet, all that said, I bought it partly for my wife to drive to work because of the safety features as she works 3rd shift.
My 2018 3.6r is the best car I’ve ever owned. I’ve had a LOT of cars over my 40 years of road driving and this is the stand out for sure. My farm has dirt roads all round and it sticks to them like glue….and when you take it out onto the tarmac it’s even better. It’s an all rounder that does it all really well.
Great review. I love my '17 3.6R. The CVT is wonderful. I love the way it simulates a passing gear when you step on it. The H6 engine is so smooth that at idle you have to check the tach to make sure the car is running.
Went through several reviews to find one like this. What is it like to drive? That’s what I was looking. Thank you so much. BTW, I’ve owned German sports sedans and wagons and I’m sick of the over complicated approach to tech and a lack of mechanical engineering integrity. Subaru’s are sensible vehicles that I’ve always admired for their practicality and capability, and the styling is getting better and better. I do out doors activities and a diy person at the house so this car makes sense. And I really don’t care for SUVs either. Glad to hear that the CVT has been better programed.
nice video. Just looking at the 2016 3.6R touring. I'm the guy you mention at the end of video with kids etc lol
This is a great video. I initially thought it was some punk kid in his mom's car, but it was very informative. Good audio during acceleration. He knows his stuff. Good vid.

What state is this ? I live in PA. There r some very steep mountain roads, I’m not exactly the best driver on them, coming from WI. Can u tell me best way how to go up or down them without riding break, or straining going up
I can't wait to get mine and I don't care what anyone thinks of the car. It's gonna be my baby!
love your scene of humor,,,,, great video
Our 2016 3.6 limited has been the best vehicle we've ever purchased. Extremely spacious for a family of 4. The 3.6 really drives so smooth and barely seems to even be working while going up the steepest mountains. Throw a rack on top and you have a great outdoor vehicle that the whole family can easily pack up for a long camping trip. It will get up and go, takes turn great, and overall is just an extremely pleasurable drive for its original 40k price point. We're looking to buy a second one used since they no longer produce the 3.6.
great review i have 2.5 its not bad for power ,,, the cvt is great,, wish i had the h6 keep up the great work,,,,subies are the best
Great, balanced review. Thanks!
what a nice review. thumbs up!!
The fake shifting actually makes it slower, although it's interesting to hear it will forgo it in favor of full CVT on full acceleration.
I’m a mom, but I’m a car enthusiast. I’m watching this bc I’m currently shopping a trade in from my modded Mustang to an Outback. I need something that can handle terrible road conditions, the Stang has too much torque with rear wheel drive and makes for an interesting go in bad conditions. Also, the state of roads these days is killing my suspension.
I mean, even as an enthusiast, you need a normal car that can get you through anything.. because let’s face it - you modify the fk out of your race car and you end up not being able to drive it all the time :) The Outback is fantastic.
its really not just a moms car ik people who have them and use it for hunting camping and other stuff
I just got a Outback 3.6. I need to learn how best to drive these mountains here in pa. Especially in the snow. - Help !
Thanks for the review. how do you find the beige interior leather?..easy to clean? I'm debating on which one to get..the black or beige interior.

My mother ordered the car like that when they came out. The beige does get dirty pretty quickly however, especially from blue jeans and on the door handles.
How's the insurance? I heard from some sources its kinda bad. Not sure if that's just from state farm folks or what.
Torque vectoring wears out the brakes? I don't think so, Hoss.
Could this guy get anymore smug and bougie in his mom's car , I'll give him props for his skills in drawing out and translating a general outback review into " "enthusiasts" lingo , and ya wrxs are good for hot runs through your neighborhood after a rain . His enthusiast and car person bars are set pretty damn low with the taste and sensibilities of a 12 y/o. One more thing mommy won't let him go full throttle
CVT
You should review the Forester XT 2.0 turbo. Even a better driver in sheep's clothing.
What state is that in?

BT Racing I ask because it looked like the north east- and possibly even Maine/NH. Nice review and car!
I wasn't thinking any of those things, and it's pretty ignorant to say that this car is only for moms.
I was thinking, "Who the hell is Brian?"
Is your Mom watching your video? :-)

Yes she watched it!
This makes me glad I don't have a 3.6R. Because I would make that EZ36 sing all the time!
subarus are crap man. those 225 wide tires cant grip anything
I thank you for this review because it gave me a better feel for the 3.6R driving experience than all of the (many) other reviews I've heard.
