2016 Peterbilt 579 18 20 drop visor install in Miami Fl. Chicken lights and chrome sure looks good
It's been long overdue but I finally put together the video of my drop visor build. This is the install of an 18" outer 20" center drop visor purchased at Miami Star Truck parts in Medley, Fl. This is a long video but it has sure improved the look of my 2016 Peterbilt 579.

It's surely not easy with 1 person. Chrome shops use 2 people or scaffolding to stand on over the motor which makes things much easier

I know that cold up there numbs the fingers and theybjustvdont want to cooperate. Lol this is why I wanted to get this truck done while I'm down here in Miami. It was 87 yesterday.

My 2 pete 579's have the cummins x15 and my coronado and a detroit 60 series. That's just plum awful what happened to your truck. I pray the insurance covers it all.

When i replace anything on my trucks, I have always given the removed items away. I left it Beside the Dumpster in the lot and someone had it the next morning.
So can you use this visor if you don't have the cab mount antennas?

The visor should be made depending on the year. If the truck had those antennas then the visor like this one has to be mounted that way. Those cb antennas are used as the supports that keep the visor ends from flapping around.

Well poop. Mine has a cowl mount antenna down at the bottom left corner of the windshield.

@@cootr68 you may be able to look for another. Just go to their website and put in the year it should have all available that fit that truck if it's made to spec. www.miamistar.com

Yes sir I do. Everything is on track for a driver to come aboard within the next 2 weeks and I'll go back to GA and put him in this truck and I'll jump back in mean green.

I'm sorry. I put it by the dumpster at the truck parking lot. I think people here know now that when they see parts BESIDE it on the curb that the items are still good. I've left so many parts and electronics and gone back and looked the next day and they are gone.
