2016 Genuine Buddy 50 Scooter Review - The Buddy 50 is a high quality scooter backed by a 2 year limited warranty, with unlimited mileage and 2 years of roadside assistance included. So, if you pop your tire, run out of gas, or have engine problems, not to worry. Just call an 800# and help is on its way. The Buddy is also one of the fastest scooters on the market. Although it comes with a 30mph speed limiter, if your state allows you to remove it, the bike is capable of going 42-47mph with a typical sized rider. It is also low to the ground, has a zippy 2 stroke engine, and comes in 10 different colors. The Buddy scooter is actually manufactured by PGO, a high quality scooter manufacturer in Taiwan. MSRP is $1999 + freight, but we frequently offer student promotions and we generally have one of the lowest out the door prices on this scooter in the USA. I have a 2012 50cc Buddy. Have swapped battery for lithium ion, changed my spark plug a couple of times, and use seafoam in my gas tank once a year. It still runs great. Folks still tell me, "it's the coolest thing I've have ever seen!"

Still got that exhaust pipe on the back wall they wouldn't sell me, because they can't figure out how much it is. Since 2006 lol
I ONLY use genuine scooter brand 2-stroke synthetic oil..BTW ..ALL scooter speedometers read 5 mph faster than your actual speed... So whatever speed they tell you minus 5 mph and you'll have the true speed..

It varies by state. In Florida right now you only need a driver's license, but not a motorcycle license since it is only 50cc.
I lost my keys what are my options on my 2013 50 buddy?

Sorry for the late reply. If both keys are lost, you would have to replace the lock set or go to a professional locksmith with the ignition or the whole bike and have a key made to fit it. Expect to pay a locksmith $50-$100. To replace the ignition is better but it does cost more. Probably $130-$180, depending on your local dealer, unless you can do it yourself.

If you order a new lockset, make sure you give the dealer the model year. There is more than one version.

I may be getting old, but I can still see color just fine. The colors I stated were correct. 1st one was turquoise, 2nd seafoam, 3rd lavender, 4 titanium. The lighting makes it look a little different on camera. I was just fumbling a bit because genuine has had 3 or 4 shades of green! 🙂

I had it correct. The one I was going over was turquoise, the 2nd one was seafoam, 3rd was lavender and the last one was titanium. It just looks a little different on the video probably from the lighting. I am extremely familiar with all the colors. We have sold hundreds, if not thousands of them. They are very nice scooters.
