2016 Ford Explorer Sport EcoBoost: Real World Review and Test Drive
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
With CUVs replacing SUVs the number of choices for customers who need to do some actual towing is rapidly decreasing. Fortunately, the Explorer Sport, while still a crossover, provides a healthy dose of muscle!
As always, I try to bring real world, honest, unscripted reviews from a point of view you can relate to.

Thanks for Gurley Motor Company of Gallup, New Mexico for the test drive.

the hands free tailgate is a swipe more than a leaving your foot under the bumper. works Everytime for us and we love our 16Explorer Sport

I completely understand
The foot lift gate thing is actually easy you just need to know where the sensor is. It's just to the right of the center where the tow hitch is, so you have to stand just off right of center of the vehicle and move your foot under and back it will work like a charm. I had a few challenges at first but when they told me where the actual sensor is I haven't had it not work for me since.
Welcome back. Great video. We (the wife and I) looked at these but opted for the escape. We didn't need the room, the tow capacity, Or the power. All good reasons for us not to get it. I will admit the real reason was the price. As nice as the SUV is the price was just about 10 years out of our reach. Just the same, you do get a ton of features for this price. Glad to see you back in the drivers seat. Looking for more to come. -John

Thanks for sharing! I apologize for the delay, just can't keep up. -Greg
I guess it's probably only in Las Cruces where people have to pay close attention on whether if it's a regular explorer or the police interceptor. Same goes for the Taurus.
nice video, only complaint is there hasn't been a video in a while.

I get it. Thanks again for the support. -Greg
Went with the 4 cyl for just a tad more mpg but the power is more than adequate for my daily needs still enough power to merge onto a busy highway.
Like your real world reviews. I know the weather wasn't cooperative but I prefer your "old" style of reviewing. FYI a family friend just got a 2016 F250 Limited w/ ~16k miles for about $52k. I realize they are very different vehicles but just using it as a reference point for what you can get for the money (and in my opinion, you just don't get enough here for the money, $~35k maybe)

thanks for the feedback and real world info. -Greg
Keys need to be like really close to the rear for you to use your foot to open tailgate
You should review some new trucks
A loaded (all the way) Flex is less expensive (by several thousand) and have more 2nd row room - we've had an '09 and '14 Flex. That said my wife wanted something different and went with an Explorer Platinum this time around and she loves it. Great video...
22 mpg.. so much for being "ECO"
Actually, Audi rhymes with rowdy.
