Chrome wheels are my FAVORITE...those ugly black wheels look like spare tires.

Glad to see you in a corvette again! Yes base suspension is pretty soft. Z51 with mag ride really tightens it up.

I test drove it and it was great. I ordered the Sterling blue metallic base model Stingray Lt1 with both hard and clear top. I have a 1974 silver Stingray 47K miles original and a 1995 black Corvette covertable in the garage. I like them all.

Hate that plate in front. its not you but what a stupid thing for the state to make people do....

14:30 Is there no shade you can pull under the glass? Or it's just the glass panel? I know it is a budget sports car, but still this is very important. Probably it's better to buy a carbon fiber roof. Less light, but you won't be cooking inside on hot summer days.

4:56 It was a lot easier to open the door on the other corvette because you used the right hand haha

I rented this exact car from ORD last month. Fantastic beast. Put a good 1500 miles on it

Antonio Cognato Yeah, most big rental car companies rent these things (plus BMW's, Audi's, etc) at large airports in the US. It's a bit expensive but much better than driving a Ford Focus!

If you can, definitely rent it ahead of time! It turns out that this Corvette I rented at ORD wasn't even listed on the reservation system - it just happened to be sitting out front when I arrived and asked it was available. So definitely ask when you get there if you don't see the option to reserve one on the website.

Do you still have the Mustang? The S550 Mustang might be the right car for you. I own a 17 Corvette and 17 Mustang GT. I LOVE my Mustang.

Yup, I still have the Mustang! I'm uploading an update video on it right now as a matter of fact, and the basic synopsis is it's the perfect car for me.

0:52 You don't know why they put chrome wheels on a silver corvette? It's called aesthetics. Black wheels often look better, but in this case they would have looked like dental cavities on this exterior colour.

Agreed - I wouldn't put one on if I had a C7. I had a car without one here in CA for six years (front plates are required here) and I only got one ticket for it during that entire time.

I can't remember exactly (it was about 7 or 8 years ago), but it wasn't more than $150. Not too bad of a price to pay considering it was my only ticket for no plate.

Let me know if it's not a rattle trap that everybody complains about

If you live in a big city with lots of bumper to bumper traffic......yes. The standard can be a pain in the ass. My C7 is the 7 speed manual and it's fun on country roads but not in heavy traffic.
