You just have to take note of how new the car is. Batteries have a lifespan of about 15 years so you can do the math there. If it's a much older Aqua, a normal Vitz makes sense

so please confirm, if the battery or electric system fails, i can still use the gasoline engine??

Yes, it's possible to run the car with just the gasoline engine, although it will sort of defeat the purpose as it will be working extra hard all the time to carry dead weight (battery and motors) around. Overtime this will affect one's fuel economy.

What’s the longevity of these batteries? Let’s say your Aqua’s battery dies; is there a place in Zimbabwe that sells replacements?

Hybrid batteries come with a factory warranty of 300 000kms. Replacement batteries are available from Car breakers they obviously cost an arm and a leg of you go to exploitative dealers but the reasonable price is $1200 to $1800 however others are charging as much as $3500. Typical 2008 era when we bought SIM cards for $200US
