It started with a call from my wife saying that the truck showed a “Wrong key fob” code on the dash. Then the truck wouldn’t do anything. It looked like it possibly had a dead battery. After I got the truck running, it died a few blocks down the road so I began to suspect it may be a bad alternator. Neither one of these was the issue.
