Why get the dc sport ex-1012? I called the company and they said for the 2015 v6 mustang they recommend the ex-1010. What made you pick that exact tip.

I'm not gonna lie...it does sound really good. I'm the most picky person about exhausts and I like it. You do have to use good headphones because the first time I listened to it was with earbuds and it sounded tinny. I have a 17 Gt PP and I think that is best/deepest v6 exhaust clip I've heard. Ford shouldn't have gotten rid of the v6, the ecoboost does make good power but they sound awful

+Jahir Escoto I suggest leaving the resonator. It is more difficult to delete then it is worth. If you do delete though you need a crossover so x or h. Stock pipe size is 2.25".

backpressure loss usually happens if you do this and that returns to loss of power.

@@grabbers5502 backpressure is the enemy of power, you don't want backpressure. backpressure means that the air is harder to get out of the exhaust, you want the least restriction possible. backpressure only applies to two stroke engines.

lexugax You are referring to what is called drone. A constant low frequency resonance inside that can drive you crazy after awhile. This exhaust has none of that while at speed! Almost stock volume inside when at a constant speed. It is when you accelerate that you will hear this exhaust!

muffler delete the best system you can get for the 3.7, I think anyway, had them on my 2011 and will be getting them for my new 2017 😆

Hey man! I was inspired to do this to my 2016 mustang, couldn't get any resonated tips so I just put on normal exhaust tips. After the muffler delete, this car was insanely loud. I don't want to drive my car now or else I'll get a terrible drone and headache. Perhaps the exhaust specialists messed up, but my car did not sound as refined and quiet as yours. Is it just as loud to you? Anything over 3k rpm destroys a conversation.

+chuckey3007 that's obvious. delete mufflers make noise. drone means it has stock exhaust manifold, possibly x-pipe. I had a 115DB audi v8. stock manifold, 4 cats, true dual, 2 front resonators 4 rear resonated tips. 0 drone. Removing the x-pipe removed the drone! No cabin pressure, no headaches. Buy resonated tips to quieten down. Drone, youll still have it. Buy performance headers. Sounds like this car has a set of headers, not stock manifold.

KenBantol Thanks! There is a bit of drone in the mid 2000's during acceleration but once you reach a steady speed (any speed under 100) there is no drone at all!

KenBantol Not a problem! Any decent muffler shop should know exactly what you are talking about when you ask for a muffler delete. The only suggestion I would have is that you tell them to weld the Sport tips on. The DC Sport tips have a 3 bolt mounting system. While this is good enough I would suggest welding them on for the added security.

Yendry Santiesteban No the resonator is still in place. There is really no need to remove it as it is not causing much of any restriction in the system.

georgeownz216 As long as you don't floor it past the cop you will be fine. This exhaust is surprisingly quiet at cruising speeds and even in light acceleration. You really need to get into the throttle before it gets to the point where you might have an issue.

Alexander mac Would not effect anything except the warranty of the catback since this requires cutting the mufflers off. Cats forward will have warranty intact.

I’m guessing the use headphones is a joke since my Chevy Vega sounds better than this.
