Dear Dr. Peterson, Make a page on your website for images that you use in your lectures. I think that might be a good project for one of your many followers.

Just when I thought I was out, JBP pulled me back into class
The irony of his father archetype moment at the start of this video is not lost on me.
Wished I could see the diagrams and that there was a limit on questions till end of class as its disruptive and can't hear the questions.
I like the way he sais "roon'
thanks
27:00 * no, some cultures only have 2 color terms * they're essentially *light* and *dark* (greenberg, universals of human language, vol. 1, p. 248)
12:30 so funny his perspective of the Carnival celebration in Patras 😂
Sad the camera didn’t capture those images or the video could have been edited to add those pictures of Stalin and hitler. As I have no clue what Jordan is describing.
00:10:00 cultures, conformity, rights
In the beginning of the video, was there a discrepancy between the campus administration and the program on giving credit for the students' grades? Because that was terrible for them to do so. Did they managed to get their credits for this program at the end of it?

Sounded to me like the administration were going on strike.

Any one knows?
He seems pretty tired in this one. Hope he’s more restful now (9 years later).
I need to see the images, honestly - source please.
The utopian world is impossible to achieve, there would be a hidden tyranny, it is depicted in the anime Psycho Pass: the world there comes across as utopian and advancement in technology but the underlying monster beneath that was hard to miss, there was no freedom and people's will, the world was run by system algorithm and stimuli.
11:22 Why is it possible for women to have rights in the west?
OK, so
20:20, "Harsh movement to the left is regressive." No. The left is the Past and leftward movement is Return (maybe retreat). The upper left is the Benevolent Father and positive socio-cultural tradition, so up and to the left means a return to the safety of the old ways.

You just switched a word with some other words that imply and mean the exact same thing.

You've doubled down on yourself via the subjectivity of language to avoid his message. Wonder if you had the integrity to re-watch instead of getting hung up on the one para-phrased moment that made you feel smarter (or at least not as easily duped as you appear) than this sage man.

Still, thanks for offering a different perspective on the matter. I wouldn’t have looked into it otherwise

@@yeaown8139 To clarify then. Yes, going to the left is "going backward" but it is not necessarily negative, as is implied by the term "regressive." Up and to the left, as in the example, is a positive decision to retreat and regroup, while a downward and leftward movement implies a reflexive flight to shelter.

@@meilei8716 UP and to the left is POSITIVE yet backwards. That's what Peterson means by, "... it's backward, but you can understand why that might be."
7:30 We are not "individualistic." Being called conformists would actually be more accurate.

@ Yeah, I agree. And Jordan Peterson is wrong. What he is describing when it comes to allowing a person to dress differently or act slightly differently from the norm... that is not conformity. Even though he says it's because we're conforming. What he's describing is trust. And those are not the same things. We can trust each other enough so that some of us are allowed to act differently, because we trust that whatever they're doing won't at least be harmful. Some of what he says is conformity. Not jaywalking when it's super late and there are no cars at all in sight, but still waiting, is conformity. But the other things he mentions is not conformity.

@@GrubKiller436 The fact that there is a form of acceptable dress code and we all follow it is conformity, the fact that we all expect people to follow that dress code is trust like you said. but it's still conformity
Well you know. I'm German and I can tell you that Hitler is not the pinnacle of speech/ rhetoric. He has a certain seductive but primitive attitude that today is mostly amusing.
