Thanks for this video. I am changing the rear rotors and pads on my sons 2016 Kia Rio. You are really good at details like size of wrench needed and even the camera angles to see what you are doing. I happened to have that brake piston cube in my tool box. It's been years since I used it and needed a reminder and you made it easy for me. (No second guessing what I was doing)

I always thought putting grease on the ears for the brake pads had an issue with attracting brake dust and other crud which potentially causes issues later. I've always used grease under the stainless clips, and spray graphite (no grease to hold particulate) where the pad ears ride against the stainless hardware. I use the purple Permatex stuff on the back of the pad, the 3M silicon on the pins, and Fluid Film under the rotor against the hub.

Can you use the old pad and c clamp for piston or you got to have that tool to screw it down thanks

If they are a push in piston you can push. If it's a screw in piston you'll need a tool. This one needs a tool. You won't get anywhere pushing that one in. i hope this video helps. feel free to like and subscribe for more. also head down into the description and check out the link for some high quality led bulbs for this and any other vehicle. use my referral for a discount. You can use a pair of curved vise grips, that's what I used and it worked perfectly.

I don't think that can be adjusted, but if you pull apart where the hamburg clever is usually there is a way to make the adjustment from there
