Utterly despicable!! It's high time our so called 'leaders' were mandated to undergo psychiatric evaluation before being appointed or voted into exalted political offices.

In a multi-party democracy the majority and the minority often change places. The more important thing is that both have their say accordint to a pre-agreed process.

Thank you Prof. Jega. It is a shame to see an elder statesman act like a thug.

So this is what happened in Nigeria last year. We thank God that peace prevailed ultimately. But I have a suggestion to make to you Nigerians concerning the declaration of your election results. If possible you should not allow political parties to react on the same platform after the INEC Chairman has finished declaring the results since such reactions can plunge the nation into chaos. If any political party has issues about the results that party can proceed to court and file a petition as happens in my country Ghana. The reaction by the PDP could have plunged Nigeria into chaos. In Ghana no political party can react to a declaration by the Electoral Commission of Ghana on the same platform right after the Electoral Commission (EC) has finished the declaration. What happens is an aggreived party makes use of the legal processes which are 1. going to court or 2. engaging the EC after the results. If a party reacts on the same platform as I just saw on my screen it might allow the supporters of that party to resort to violence. This is my candid opinion though. I love Nigeria. I pray that there would be change in Ghana this year as happened in Nigeria last year.

Who made this Man a Minister? He does not possess qualities of an elder statesman, how can he use such derogatory statement that will vitiate and impair the process of Collation. He is trying to instigate and incite crisis in this country, these are people to be watched.
