Hi Hunter! That sure looks like a real nice hitch kit. You sure do a great job with your videos explaining your experience in detail, what you needed to do, right down to notching the fender liner for the release handle. I never would have thought about the bed liner thickness when measuring the location for drilling the 4" hole. That 1/16 inch would have made a major problem. Great job!

The install looks good. I laugh because i think how many issues and frustration explosions I would have doing that. That is a slick looking hitch. I thought I always recalled a big heavy plate on top of the bed on the few I have seen. This hitch seems to virtually disappear / flat when removed.

Put mine in this morning. Very much of a pain in the ass when installing by yourself.

Lots of f-bombs were dropped! Very first thing that went askew was finding out that my truck is missing the jack handle, so I couldn't drop the spare tire!

Do you have link to the one you used keeps telling it won’t fit my 1500 Sierra

My mechanic said they bed was 3/4 in too wide for my short bed. H said he needs to drill holes through the frame, why is that if the kit is the right one for a 5' 7'' bed.

Sounds like he didn't install the kit properly. Perhaps he drilled the ball hole in the wrong spot.

So your chevy must have the 6.2 ?

5.3 V8. I no longer own the truck.

What will you be towing with this hitch? Can a 1500 handle it?
