thnx. There's a 5th wheel here that only weighs 3,972 pounds. Hitch weight is only 620 pounds. I think mynhalf ton will be fine.

@@CodyAllhands it was a 2003 Sun Valley Roadrunner. Likely, the M-190. It sold. So, I don't have the Facebook link to it anymore. I just have old pictures I took of it.

Not really for towing, more for off-road fun yk? But It’s a ford so I’m sure it can still tow.

The term 1/2, 3/4, 1 ton is something manufactures doesn't use anymore.

2100 payload?…. No way! Thought it was under 1300! 2100 is the regular cab long-bed!

@@sledforpeace I have an LT and mine has a 1942 lbs payload I haven't seen anything greater than that other then a work truck

My 2014 crew cab 5.3 z71 Silverado has 1750 payload and that’s without a tow package. So 2k isn’t far off if you get beefier leafs

It’s not a vortex engine it’s a L 83 or L 84 Chevy Silverado rst does not have a vortex

Its actually 6 - 8 or 10 depends on the build

I've towed with them all and none of them beats a Ram for me . Air bags can't be beat .

You must not live in cold weather. My air ride Ram went out at 60k and again at 120k rear bags leaking. Either locks up or leaks below zero temps plus with all the airlines and control module how do you manage to bolt in fifth wheel brackets

@@michaeljames63 I live in WV , I trade every 3 years and keep new so I never see over 40k miles so maybe that's why .

1/2 tons are not designed to pull fifth wheels no matter what the wieght. You have to be able to stop it. The rv wieght pushing on a 1/2 ton is dangerous. If I was a salesman I would not encourage pulling with a 1/2 ton.

Weight doesn’t change whether 5er or bumper pull with regard to towing, if it is built to tow 10k then it doesn’t care the hitch method as far as stopping. As always the “weight pushing on a 1/2 ton” should be managed within manufacturers specs, there are more than a few 5ers that now fall well inside the manufacturers specs.

The brakes on the trailer are more than adequate in comination with the truck to stop a small fifth wheeel that probably weighs less than most travel trailers. Have pulled large TT cross country with my Ram 1500 Hemi. BTW compare todays half tone with a 3/4 tone form even 20 years ago. PAyload and tow rating are similar if not actualy less
