If you mean the bearing separator, you probably don't need one. You can probably just hold onto the bump stop, and pound on the shock shaft with a hammer. Or pull it off if your a real he-man. It came off easier than I thought it would.

Do u have any idea how that car drove with the new shocks , i just changed mine and put the exact same ones and its horrible, my car makes noise on every bump and ride quality is very bad , i dont know if they mounted them wrongly or the shocks itself are not good! I

I have not heard any complaints from them. I have had monroe sensatracs ride very bad if the suspension sags, and can no longer support the stock ride height. If it makes noise, and did not before the install, the shocks are probably loose. Other than that, link pins, bushings, etc can make noise too. It could possibly ride stiff from many other things other than shocks. If it never rode that stiff until the install, I would suspect shocks. Turn them in as defective, and try a different brand.

Apparently the ones I put in here are crap. So people tell me. Monroe sensatracs are horrible if the ride height is off. My favorite aftermarket shocks are KYB's. I have always had good luck with those. Maybe go on Amazon, and look at reviews. You never know what people are going to say. Every car is different.

Aftermarket industry teaches all shocks, and strut recommended maintenance is 60k miles. Took a boring sales speech class on it. Some do last a lot longer.
