2014 NISSAN R35 GTR NISMO WALK-AROUND

Hey guys, here I take you for a walk around of Nissan's latest and newest AWD beast revealed at the 2014 Tokyo Motor Show.
The Nismo edition was released to the public on the 20th of November and will go on sale in February 2014. It features bigger turbos that add 50hp and 20Nm of torque to top out at 600hp (441kW) and 652 Nm.
The car is also decked out in Nismo's latest carbon fiber body kit that shows off completely re-profiled front, side and rear assemblies. Notice that the headlights and tail-lights have also been redesigned.
Transmission and brakes remain the same but the car is slightly lighter at 1710kg's and has the ability to sprint to an (as yet) unofficial 2.1 seconds. In Track Spec trim, which basically means GT3 spec, the car ran the Nordschleife in 7:08 which is a mental fast time.
Inside the car has been given two carbon fiber Recaro buckets and a suede steering wheel. The 2014 standard R35 comes in at ¥10,000,000 with the Nismo adding another ¥5,000,000 on top for the base model.

Thanks for that! From what I understand there's no word on any other markets besides Europe and Japan at this point in time but I'm sure there are a lot of discussions taking places over what goes where...

Me too! I preferred the stock at first and thought the nismo was very ugly. But after a day I'm in love. And for some reason GTR's look 10 times better in real life so I cant wait to see it on the road. Nismo 2 thumbs up!

The styling of the Nismo GTR is needed sometime to get used to...at least of me. I thought Nissan could have done much better job for the Nismo version of the GTR. What about carbon fiber roof, carbon ceramic brake, and one more gear aka 7 speed double gearbox ???

That's right. As a rule of thumb I usually just do a 1:1 conversion... so drop a couple of zeroes and you have your USD conversion.

This car is not in any way shape or form a true representation of a street automobile. No wonder Porsche called them liars a few years back!

No that's right and it was one thing I forgot to mention. The car that did that time was carrying the Track Options which increase downforce significantly and are modelled on Nissan's GT3 track exploits. That said, its the same car but with different aero. So it's not as deceptive as you might think and you CAN buy both the standard car and the options at the same time from the dealer... and the added aero options are actually around $50,000.
