Seen this car at the dealership. Fell in love.
Great video Steve. I have watched this video a couple of times already and I reckon that the JGC SRT is value for money another words it gives you more bang for your buck, more than the Porsche ever could. There is no substitute for cubic inches.
Excellent videos Steve!! In 5min you tell us everything we are interested in, with fair judgement. Thanks for your work and congrats! Greetings from Spain!
At $64k, I actually think this car is quite reasonable. To get this sort of power + the utility of Jeep + full time 4WD in a subdued and not over the top package is pretty compelling. It also has better performance numbers than many muscle cars. BMW X5s with comparable equipment (e.g. M sport) or Range Rovers cost 50-100% more and are less/equally capable. This is also likely much less expensive to run over time.
Great review outstanding!!!keep up the good work man!
love the tiny details like the launch control button which feature a drag strip light icon :)
Awesome review, will be purchasing one very soon! Fully load!
I'm in love with this SRT!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!
I really appreciate the review Steve. Any chance you could review the GC Summit 4x4 and showcase its capabilities and luxury amenities? Drive Time is a great show, thanks!
Great review Steve... I'd love to see what you think of the Grand Cherokee Summit w/ EcoDiesel
Thanks! I'll probably do another GC before summer is over.
Beautiful SUV! Great review.
My brain is wired to appreciate absurd creations :-)
It was a very good week!
im in love. 6.4L hemi is music to my ears
Definitely a must have.
Thanks. That was my handy GoPro suctioned to the sunroof.
Hope you're enjoying it!
Congrats! You're a lucky guy!
I heard that the Jeep SRT8 gets a combined total of 30mpg....12 city and 18 highway.

OMG IM IN LOVE this truck is beautiful
Steve, could there be a 2014 Jeep Cherokee Diesel in your near future! Thanks for the Great Reviews....
Thank you!
Outstanding!! SRT's are so damn cool
Thank you!!!
Omg.....I wove all gc, Srt is 1 of my favorite, but I'm happy with my 02, but holy .....
Thanks very much!
Love this truck !
That would be the V-10 in the SRT Viper. What's amazing about that V-10 is that it's naturally aspirated (no turbochargers or superchargers).
Thanks!
Steve, I work with high performance 4x4 / SUV and our experience has shown that our German partners have produced exciting performance but our customers prefer US spec cars due to difference in feeling and perception.
SUV looks awesome
Thank God they fixed the rims.
Hello Steve, Nice review. Is this SUV able to go offroad like its 'brother' Overland or Summit? Looks like it has no offroad feature such as Terrain Selection or Quadra-Lift Air Suspension.
The head lights and the area around them reminds me a little bit of the Range Rover Evoque.
please do a 2016 "Night" edition srt Jeep
Love it!
Another great review....In fact my Mom just purchased a loaded Pathfinder, impart based on your review. Believe or not, she was all set to purchase the Infiniti JX35. Score 1 for Drive Time
I only recorded 0-to-60mph. Any other readings on that display were there before I got it.
Now that's a front end! Feel sorry for the guys that bought the 12 models cuz the headlights looked like they belonged in the 90's but with these more sophisticated led headlights this SUV is complete
Steve -- will you test a traditional JGC with the new 3L Diesel engine?
Beautiful!!!
FINALLY THE 8-SPEED!!!!!
SRT and an 8-speed! FINALLY!
Luv this car. But it cost 80-90K here in australia. We end up getting the limited one with some upgarde but still cost us 70K. Cant wait for it.
keep on making these please Jeep Gods!! .. when I'm done paying for my wrangler I will be purchasing one for sure!! .. who cares about fuel mileage when you can have fun and look good ~!!!
I absolutely adore this car... But I'd rather get the diesel and a sports car. If you have a short but fun commute, and don't track your fast car... then this would be awesome
Love it ...
Will you test the other versions of the Grand Cherokee, most notable the 3.0L EcoDiesel?
This is the best fucking car i have ever seen, for me it has everething performance, price, really good looking its amazing.
I LOVE the SRT Jeep!
Great SUV and review. Do you have a review about The Range Rover?
this and the Ford SVT Raptor are, in my opinioin, the most insane automobiles built today. If i could, i'd own both.
What year did they came out with the 8 speed and is this supercharge ?😎✌️
Beautifu .. I'll get this car soon in sha Allah
If/when I can get one.
Steve, i've been looking for some editorial on the 8 speed transmission's tangible benefits versus the 5 speed. Not the "by the book benefits", but experienced benefits.... shifting? mileage? cost difference...bottom line, am i missing something by not upgrading from the 5 speed to the 8 speed? thanks
Great review Steve. This car / truck is playing a sandbox already occupied by serious heavyweights. The first thing that pops to mind when I see this car is...oh..they copied the Evoque. The interior looks great. Hate the shiny wheels. Black wheels would have made it look edgier in my opinion. Can't wait to see a real on on the road.
Amen
i have a 2011 white overland and i can tell you this car will give you all you want from a suv have all option with big v8 engine and do well in desert to sorry for bad english
Can the Grand Cherokee SRT8 go off-roading? or would it be a problem if you do so? And how reliable this car is?
The only SRT I would buy is the SRT Viper and Charger SRT8.
It's actually a 392 (6.4L).
obviously he only tested the 0 to 60 time..i have a '12... it runs 4.4 to 60 , especially in the cooler weather..and the 1/4 mile between 12.7 and 13.0.. Gbless...its a great vehicle, i wish the 12 had the updated bigger nav and performance screen..and the new tranny..otherwise..its still ass kicking!!!
what is the full power in horse power? thx
Must have!!!!!
Is it any good off-road?
i bet you had way too much fun in that beast
I want one
you have the best job in the world.
nice... very nice
Looks like a great SUV. But I've watched a review of a previous model and the result of the Elk Test was disappointing not to say dangerous. In all seven runs the car almost capsiz ed and in six out of seven runs it has blown a tire. Is it possible that Jeep has already addressed that problem and solved it?
The gear shifter looks like it's taken straight from the audi a8. But it doesn't matter it's still an awesome car and a powerful beast
I guess one of the things that bothers me is, and its kinda petty, but important. Why would any car company design a high performace car or truck with a $60,000+ price tag and not have a full gauge package in the dash? Even my 2003 GC has a full gauge package. Like I said, some things may be trivial, but small things like this are important to car people who would buy an expensive car. In my opinion, lose the rear view camera, the DVD entertainment for the back seat, heated seats, put in the gauges and come up with a supercharger option... better yet... a 6 speed manual... OMG Im getting excited..lol
how many litter's of oil it need's in 100 KM/H
i like the older body
Personally I loved the previous gen jeep grand cherokee SRT but I am starting to like the new one. Price is a little high in the end it's better then spending almost a 100,000 on a BMW or porsche
Got this for my 16th birthday and love the speed :D

a damn sexy car. i love every thing about this car. looks amazing inside and out.
I will say it is a toss up on the ML63 AMg and this for coolest "fast SUV" dunno about the cayenne look as much as these even if it is the sportiest of the 3
Which means Chrysler owns/is Dodge thus the companys largest motor is the 8.4 v10
Un coche bueno y rudo
He said that was not a recorded time. The 0-60 at 4.4 would not yield a 15.5 1/4 mile hah
Now the problem is I only got 70000 to spend on this car. Sales tax is almost 10% in WA, but I still dreaming about having the roof window and the speaker package installed, which would exceeds my budget. I don't think I would buy jeep gc srt without those two things it just makes the huge investment incomplete.

save for another 6 months and buy the one you want?
OK, I want some commission on that sale! Thanks!
more than 60,000 without air-susp in basic model?
i need this card on weekends......on weekdays, i'll drive the 2014 ford explorer
Before summer is over...
LoooL i cant believe its that cheap!!! Just thinking about it makes me cry! I was thinking to buy the evoque. A fully loaded coupe evoque will cost around $69k CAD of course plus tax. This on the other hand this beast will cost me the same?!! Ohh god i got to re evaluate big time. Ps any other suggestion in that price range while we are at it?
can i ask u guys is it good off road as normal jeep

Jason Flitton Thats a normal jeep this is the SRT. The SRT model is lower and has performance oriented suspension. If you try and take it off road you will may end up damaging the vehicle due to the low approach and departure angle. A normal jeep like the overland model has air suspension that will lift it to a total ground clearance of 11 inchs its also a 4x4 with hill decent control. The SRT is AWD. i'm sure you can do some light off roading but nothing serious. if you want a fast off roading vehicle the Ford raptor is usually the way to go.
want it want it want it want it want it want it want itttttt
Russel DCunha... Why would you need to supercharge this beast? It's 474 6.3 l engine block puts out enough power already
the company's biggest motor is the 8.4 v10..
White or Black?
Off road?
I'd it feel in line with the other srt8 vehicles then I'd go for it but for damn near 70,000 naw I'm good
I think I'm in love.. nope...I'm sure.. I AM in love
