    doing something similar, but my dilemma is how to reroute air from the floor vent over/around the amp. 🤔 in the winter, there is some really toasty air coming out of the vents. yes, we have backseat passengers so "feet" air is important

    There’s multiple companies that provide harnesses like pac, axxess, maestro etc to which you would need to enter your vehicle information so they can provide you a list of available options depending on what you want to do and all three of those companies proved vehicle specific instructions.

    Is the install using Pac SNI-35 Line Out Converters or Pac SNI-15 Line Out Converters? Parts list and video don't jive. Not sure if there is a huge difference between the two. Attempting this install and don't want to order wrong part

    Hey did you end up figuring it out? I have a 2016 mazda 3 with the touch screen and stock speakers (NO Bose audio upgrade). I was looking at the wiring diagrams in my repair manual, and in my case it appears there is a factory amp located right behind the glove compartment... So I figure i will have to do all the wiring from there??

    Is there a reason you didn’t connect the harness to the TAU unit in the glove box area as opposed to the head unit? I am sincerely trying to find out why choose one over the other. I have read people have used LOCs from the TAU on non Bose systems (even some with Bose apparently)

    @@Mrjoecreeper Late respone to this, but I have 2014 bose and used the PAC-AOEM MAZ2 adapter, plugs into the factory harness and gives you an LOC with RCA outputs. Run rca from that to sub amp and you're good to go. Took me maybe 30 minutes with removing the plastic panels and rear seat to hide the RCAs.

    Audio channel out.. help! So yesterday I changed out the driver side speaker with the Alpine S-S65 since I wasn't getting sound and thought the OEM speakers went bad. Well I'm having the same left channel issue. Hardly any sound from the Alpine speaker. What's the next thing I should look for? A short somewhere or maybe the left tweeter in the dash is gone also? Could it be an Amp issue? I got a 2015 M3 iGT sedan

  • @ProvoBeastAudio

    @ProvoBeastAudio

    It's all based on the Ohm load on the factory amplifier. Most Bose speakers are 1 or 2 ohms each, and if you installed the Alpine S-S65 coaxial, one or two things are happening - the ohm load on the new speaker is too high, being less sensitive, and thus overall much quieter, and two - that lead you connected into may have a factory crossover so you are not getting the full range out of that speaker because of the amp.

    @@ProvoBeastAudio Thanks for the input. Been having issue for months now, hence why I decided to change the speaker, thinking the BOSE went bad. But I run into the same problem with the Alpine. Still only get audio from speakers on right channel. So something else must be wrong, probably a short somewhere or maybe a fuse or the Amp is acting up. Just want to know what next I can chech before taking it to a car audio shop. Cheers!

    All makes sense just have one question... You have the speaker wire coming out of the amp and u have the connector on the end to plug back into the harness sending the amplified signal back to the speakers, where did that plug come from? Is that connecter something that needs to be additionally purchased? Or did it come with the amp? Or with the harness?

    It was the one that was removed from the harness the connect to the line out converter which needs to be soldered and heat shrink.
