2013 Toyota Highlander Limited Entune Demo and differences from 2012 Toyota Highlander Limited
This still has the JBL audio system, but the navigation system is very similar to the 2012 Camry, Rav 4, and Toyota Corolla. With the addition of entune, smart phones can be utilized to further go beyond the traditional navigation head unit. Pushtoyota isn't just Toyota's, we take video and reviews of all sorts of cars and trucks!

Hi. May I know what you liked in the 2012 that's better than in 2013? Is it the radio/head unit? Thanks.

This is great. The 3-year trial period is generous and fair. I just don't know how many owners would be willing to pay a fee to use it after the trial period. It would be a tough decision, given that they have another fee they can opt to pay for satellite radio at $13/mo (w free 3 months trial). As far as the plug and play, I see that all the options in the old head unit are represented in the new unit. But again I would need you to confirm since you're the dealer.

Can you tell me if this 2013 headunit have compatible connections to the 2012/2011 model? The older headunit sucks and I'd like to remove it and replace it with the 2013 headunit. The 2011 I have has the nav screen. Will the steering wheel controls and camera connections continue to work when this is connected to the 2011/2012 models? What is the fee for entune after the free trial period? Thanks.

The entune free trail period is 3 years from date of purchase. After that it is only $5 a month, well worth it considering Pandora is commercial free, and you get weather/live traffic onto the navigation unit. I am not sure if the unit would be plug n' play on a 2011/12. I know for a fact that it would be a bolt in affair, the only difference is the volume and tune buttons, and a couple buttons relocated.

It does not use much data when connected for traffic/weather, and other information apps. If you are streaming music (Pandora/Iheartradio) I would keep my eye on usage and your data limits/usage. My suggestion is getting an unlimited data plan with no worries about limits, unless you plan on using entune maybe like once a week in the car.

Also, how much data is consumed when you use entune to connect to your cell data? Will the user have to pay more on the limited data allowance? Thanks.

With unlimited data plans becoming less and less popular these days, Toyota is putting its customers at a disadvantage with connected products like Entune. Why not cut a deal with the cell data providers after making customers pay the $60/year ($5/mo x 12)? Unfortunately, however, entune is correct: connected music streaming service is now the way to go in place of recorded discs/tapes of the old days. This is even better than sattelite radio ($13/mo)

My audio is not functioning properly, my Bluetooth and phone connectivity are inactive. When I press the Bluetooth and phone button on the screen nothing pops up to take me to the next page. How do I get this resolved? Any assistance here with be appreciated. I got my suv aftermarket.

@@robertlartey5736 Could be the phone. Have you tried connecting another phone, at least for testing purposes only? See if the Highlander head unit can detect the Bluetooth signal sent out by the new/other smartphone. What I've noticed is that Toyota's OEM head units such as this one made by Panasonic rarely break. Good Luck!

I've been with XM for Years. I just tell them I only listen to a couple stations and I'm not paying over the $6.00 per month which includes all the fees. XM would rather get $6 per month over NO $$$'s

Mine (2013 Highlander) showed me on a route with there was no road. Looking for a tire dealer and took me to a residential house. I then had SIRI route me. About 1.5 miles away.
