This video was really helpful and I used this procedure to fix my 2016 es350. A couple of points: 1. You can unbolt the window track with a 10 mm. This will allow you to pivot the window track out of the way making the installation and removal much easier. 2. (This is the most important) -- On the driver side, the door lock cylinder has a rod that goes *into* the door lock actuator. If you do not take the cylinder out and reseat it, then your doors *WILL NOT* unlock with a key. Also they will *not* lock using the touch sensor on the handle.

Thanks man! I just replaced the front two on my ES350. About an hour on the first one and 20 mins on the second one. You saved me $2,000 in dealership charges!

If I could like this video 1000 x's I would! Thank you so much for this! Had to replace the actuator in two front doors, dealership wanted to charge me roughly $1400 for the job. Because of this vid, I only came out of pocket $92. I performed this on my 2013 GS350.

It took me two hours to get the job done due to the bottom light connection and non oem part adjustment, but it works now. Thank you for saving me $700.

Thanks for the video. In addition to the Door Latch Rod there is a rod mechanism between the Lock Cylinder and the Door Lock Actuator that needs to be attached. This allows locking/unlocking the door with a Key when the FOB Battery is dead.

I just replaced the passenger front actuator, following these instructions to the letter. Even ordered the part from RockAuto :). Had it all done within 25 minutes start to finish. Excellent tutorial. Simply excellent. You just saved me $600.

Thanks for the video. Had Lexus replace these for ridiculous prices. This is a snap for very low money. I have had to replace logs 7 times on my 2013 ES350. Surely this should have been a factory recall issue. Never in all my years did I ever replace a door actuator. Thanks again. Love your hat. Guns Up!

If you own an es350 learn how to do this. $500+ from dealer the replacement part was $135 Jan 2022. It took me 45 minutes, had trouble putting door panel back on, door light kept coming out. I broke one of the white plastic door panel retaining pins so it’s probably a good idea to buy some of those beforehand. Overall it’s an easy repair and worth my time to learn how to complete.

To make it easier to get the actuator in and out there’s a 10mm screw that holds the window rail in place just under where the actuator goes. By loosening it the actuator will fit into place without very much hassle.

Your video made my job easy.

@@gregmanuel3512 It was not bad. This video prepared me for most everything. There are a few screws in different locations. I used kzread.info/dash/bejne/hoKlupZxZcLLorQ.html as another helpful guide to find all the right connections for the GS. Make sure you have your window rolled up when you start trying to remove the actuator. I wasn't thinking and scratched my tint a little bit.

I appreciate the video. It helped me a lot replacing mine but I wish you had shown yourself putting the door panel back on. That was the hardest part to me and my door panel still isn’t aligned properly.

Thanks, I had to cut it to meet the video time limit. Agree it was hard to get it aligned, not sure the video of me hanging the panel back on would of helped, I just kept trying till it fell into place. I should of mentioned it for awareness. There has to be a trick to it.....

I did a 2015 es350. Think secret to getting panel back on is to keep it as vertical as possible, while pushing it firmly to the glass and sliding the front on first. Thanks everyone

Do rear actuator control remove 2 screws from window brace so it can flex, then unscrew actuator slide it between window brace and door panel easier than the front door.

Thanks I just changed it myself but now when I try to unlock it with my Manuel key from the fob it doesn’t work , what can I do about that ?

I have to do both front doors Lexus want $730 pre door. Now seeing this I'm going it myself

Is this the same as the door tumbler? My door locks randomly and I can't get into the car. Brought it to Lexus and they quoted me $600 to get this fixed and claimed it was the door tumbler.

Not sure but it is for the 2015 es350. I replaced actuator on one of those also.

After replacement, the door can be lock/unlock by its remote, but keyless sensor stopped working. Year 2014 ES350. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Buy original toyota/lexus parts it costs 142$, and it will last forever
