I love the V6 for the price & the fuel economy. Makes them affordable for this poor kid :)

@@ihmpall I meant that relative $200,000 sports cars and $60,000 muscle cars not to every person on the planet.
Even if its a V6 it is still my Dream Car. I hope one day I'll have it. Even if its 2nd hand.
I just got a 2013 v6 automatic grabber blue, love it!!! Wish I got the premium but didn't want to pay extra, car was lightly used. Traded in my 2006 v6 mustang and I've noticed a massive improvement in performance. I can't justify paying the extra money and loosing the mpg to a v8 as I don't race or anything. And having a v6 keeps my insurance payments low. Paying $400 for car a month and $80 a month for insurance. Thanks for this video!
just got a 2013 v6 premium almost a week ago and i gotta say i love it and am very satisfied with it
I absolutely love my 2013 V6 cyclone stang. Put a magnaflow exhaust and aftermarket cooling and my goodness does it rip. Handles corners like a boss too with the upgraded suspension from performance pkg. Great job Ford
I grew up in South America and we had a Mustang Boss ! in love with them since !
This review helped me get my 2014 mustang, had it over a month love it.
The mustang is a very great car for this price. You cannot compare a musclecar with an regular streetcar like bmw. Bmw has higher quality and it's more expensive. Dude, go drive your honda and leave us alone. We love this mustang.
That Cyclone V6 is more powerful than most old V8s. I have a variant of this in my 2010 Ford Fusion SPORT and it's a very fast car. It's basically a "Baby SHO" my Uncle Dave got a 2014 Mustang in the exact color of this one in the video and its also the V6 Premium trim awesome cars! 👍
A thorough non biased review? I'd say yes! Congratulations!
when i'm serious about getting a car, i come to this channel for your reviews.
This review is excellent, loving the HD as well
Dan, good to see you back having survived the storm, doing what you like to do, great review, this V6 'stang is a lot more powerful than my sister's 65 ragtop with the 289 engine and a lot more fuel efficient as well.
Hey Dan, hope you had a little fun while reviewing the Mustang. I love that styling and I know it's time to move forward but I could see 3 more years of this style! ;)
I dont care what people say ford and dodge are the only companies doing things right with v6 and v8 muscle cars
Im 16 and I got a 2013 v6 premium automatic with the sport pack today. I love it! Great fuel economy and great looks. I got a candy red metallic with black interior
Great Review!! I love the V6 Premium!
Thanks! I'll be sticking with HD for the reviews from here on in ... it takes a lot longer to burn and upload, but looks so much better on the big screen ...
I'm always happy to see your new video. VERY nice car.
Excellent review !!
Just bought one of these in Grabber Blue - great car!

Love these reviews!
I gotta say, this review also helped me pickup my 2013 v6 with performance pack, mca, and I lucked out as the one the dealer had included the leater recaro seat package. I put intake an a full magnaflow street catback exhaust on mine which really seemed to wake the car up. as well as getting a coupe of mpg more out of it.
This is the exact car I'm considering. A 2013/2014 V6 Mustang in Gotta Have It Green. Gorgeous.
Great vid!!! Well put together I own the same exact mustang except in grabber blur and I love it. O and I'm very glad I we t with the V6 instead of the V8!!
I have a 5.0 in that color, I love it
I test drove the Lexus SC 430 first, then I test drove the 2012 Mustang V6 automatic premium convertible. It only took my wife and I approx 2 seconds to decide on the new Stang. I love my car so much that it's an event, every time I drive it. It's America's best new product, IMHO.
good review Dan, decent economy and pretty quick for a na 6, leaves plenty of scope for a turbo version.
Gotta have it green and you gotta have the premium! Love the car
I'm normally not a big Mustang fan, but man, that is a nice car.
Yeah those music copyright laws.. so dumb. Great review B)
I might get one of these soon. What are good and inexpensive nods I can do to only run closer to low 5's or If possible high 4's from 0-60? I don't want to change too much about the car. Thanks ahead of time. I only recently started getting Into Mustangs, I always preffered Camaro's so I don't know much about these cars
Very nice review, thanks! You know, I was always a Japanese car fan, but the 2013 v6 really made me reconsider. To me, it's basically a high trim BMW 3 series, with more horsepower, at half the cost. And since it's ford, maintaining it will be cheaper, too. By the way, I'm from NJ, too!
The 3.6L Pentastar V6 Dodge Avenger keeps up pretty nicely ;)
I have exactly the same but red candy ...damn it rocks and it's such an eye catching car ...and the V6 is more than enough
I agree! i have 2012 v6 and the exhuast has got to go! putting on flowmasters next week
Southside Johnny rocks!
Dan did you have 87 or 91-93 octane fuel in the car when you did the accelleration runs? Trying to figure out why I was so much slower. I know the fact that you are at sea level will have a positive effect
I work at a ford dealership and I've test drove that 1 and a few V8s and there's not much of a difference except the V8 feels more powerful.

+Ross Farrell THE V6 is also ~10,000 dollars cheaper .
i heard some people say the rear spoiler gets in the way then backing up was that the case with you.
How was the 6 speed auto shifting? Is it close to the DSG transmission or it shifts late? I have always admired a grabber blue Mustang and now this green one.
I wanna see the 2053 Mustang! :)
Wish I could test higher, but the state speed limit here in NJ is 65 MPH, so I use 68 MPH as the target speed. Higher speeds knock the numbers down. All of the gasoline sold here contains 10% ethanol. The big trick is to minimize lane changes, keep an adequate following distance, and touch the accelerator pedal as little as possible. Drive with the instant MPG gauge active ... this will help you learn when you can lighten up on the pedal. It really does help. :)
Why don't you use Mobil? It's in the top 3 for detergents in the fuel...which helps with carbon buildup. Just curious as to your reasons. I have to run 93 octane in my STI, and I've always run Mobil.
Me gusta mucho este auto!! Es muy hermosa màquina!!! Mejor desde mi punto de vista que los Chevrolet...
This is going to be my first car

Good video :) I have a 2012 V6 with the 6 speed manual In Wimbledon white with the MCA package and I must say I love it. Its faster than my 2001 Formula firebird with the 5.7 Liter V8. Yea its a V6 but at the end of the day Im driving home in a 300Hp Mustang..and well the civic guys drive home in a civic..thats really all that needs to be said..its a economy car plain and simple no matter how big your muffler is on your civic lol
hey i have a question. i want to buy me the v6 in the usa and bring it to germany. here we just have 95 octane fuel or higher. will this be a problem ?
Eric - Sometimes I get lucky. :) The automatics are a whole lot easier, that's for sure. I'm not sure what was in the tank when I picked the car up, but I always try to put in whatever the spec might be (in this case, 87 octane regular), not over. I only use name brand fuel, most often Sunoco, never Exxon/Mobil.
there isn't a procharger kit for the 2013 yet :-(
I was born in south central, all we drove was chevy impalas and BMW’s ‘Murica
do they really say that the performance pack is still suppost to get 31 mpg with 3.31 gears? thats an extra .6 gear
Pardon my silly question, but where does it get the data for Pandora ?
Bingo ... SVO. If I ever build that museum of automotive oddities ...
Here in the US were complaint about gas prices because the average working person has to drive an hour to work and then an hour back home at least 5 days of the week, especially here in Southern California we have terrible transportation services.
Congrats on the new 'Stang and thanks for the kind words! Wishing you many happy miles ... =)
on paper, the camry v6 is a close competitor to this in terms of speed, and fuel economy
why it has goodyear tires? the mustang should come with pirelli tires
IT was also Naturally Aspirated. 2.3L 90hp 130lb-ft
At the same time the car is a good fit. you have great power cool styling insurance won't be as high as a v8 and the fuel economy isn't bad.
Thanks for the kind words! =)
The V6 Mustang with the performance package is the best performance value on the market still(just under 25,000 not counting rebates/deals!). The driveshaft issue has happened to about 3-5 cars on video. The stock driveshaft combined with 3.73 gears has been the culprit seemingly. the stock gears available from Ford with the stock driveshaft do not explode/grenade at 130-140mph. Ask me how I know. 2011 V6 Premium owner here :^)!

That is because they are a very, very docile, and safe 2:73:1, lol. They can go up very high miles an hour because they offer very little tension - if the rest of your car can get that fast, you won't be accelerated in the mid range and especially the low range with them.

I include the 3.31 gears that are a factory option from Ford for the V6 too. Mine has 3.31 gears and has been a few times over 130-135, and multiple times over 105-110, and has not grenaded yet, and a decent number of 1/4mile sprints too.
this isnt the last year of the retro styling the 2014 mustang is just going to be touched up just a little bit as ford just refreshed the mustang for the 2013. it was leaked that the 2015 mustang was going to have a completely new look.
I test drove a 2013 v6 and 300hp is still plenty of power and I came close to getting it but the sound of the V8 is entoxicating. I really like the v6 because mpg is always a plus but 420 horses in a gt paired with a roush exhaust. Let me stop I'm starting to salivate
God! I want this car
I'm in love with this Mustang, but guess what? I'll wait until the 2015 model.
whats the actual hp are you getting at the wheels?
I have a 2012 Convertible v6. How do I know if i have the performance package? I have the premium stereo, and I can' imagine bigger tires could fit on it, I can clearly see the brake calipers...but is there a way to know by the VIN Number?
@7CFlo

If its bone stock and it has 19 inch wheels, with a grille that has the pony emblem all the way to the right, and a strut tower brace under the hood, than it has the package.
how the eff do bend the back sits?????? '
How you drive makes all the difference, but hyper-mile each of these and the mustang should still give you better mpg. It starts off with better mpg and freeway-flyer gears. With your sentra se-r spec v, you've gotta be turning some serious RPMs at 80 mph, no?
I drove 50000 miles in the us from seattle to lasv egas via La and back again in a rental mustang v6 convertible this summer. I fell in love. :) smooth, fast, low on fuel. I would chose this both as a Daily driver and a recreational car any day. Too bad it's insanely expensive due to taxes in norway. UScars are dicriminated here

nice revire and nice car. I think it's a bit pricey. This gen has been out a long time now, Base price is fine but add some options and it quickly sky rockets. To the point a used 5.0 would be close to the same.
well put.
You're right about that, I drove a v6 Camry and was able to peel out down the entire street lol
At least gotta have the manual if its a v6 but really I mean look at 14 years ago the v8 only got like 320hp unless you got the top of the line one so not so bad.

Yes that is stock those 4.6v8 are great. Just some mods make it's crazy fast for less then a 5.0. you can even super charge it for less then a 5.0. I have a 06 GT it's very fast with Cold air intake throttle body and tune. The new stangs are great cars though but Don't diss the 4.6.
It has a axle-back exhaust and a k&n drop-in filter...and the 23-42mpg it matters how I drive ;)
Believe me, it's no big deal. You've got to test drive it. Trust me. I love my 2012 Stang and used to have an Acura V6 with all the tech stuff. It's overrated. Go and try the Stang. You will be surprised.
hello to anyone who reads my comment, I would say thanks before i ask you anything, but help me in this please, is this car maintenance expensive? like breaking pads and the main stuff, cause am planning to buy it but i want to know this thing about it first, please help!!

Cmon yall, every one loves the GT. Ok yeah I do too, but I love that ford made a competitive v-6. Look at the intake on this thing! Take that restrictive crap off and put on a Cold air Intake and free up like 6hp. Put headers on it, upgrade Exhaust, add a Procharger or 100 shot nitrous, if you need more power. There you have a Camaro killer!
Fuel efficient
The 2013 v6 is a good car. The power output is great. Ford has done a good job with the engine. They just need to work on everything else. Its good just it could be better. They need to work on driver dynamics. You feel like your sitting in a coupe with just an engine to brag about. Seating position does not make one feel connected with the car. The door hinge is to close to the dash. Needs to be further front so it opens more for access. Door speaker is bulky and takes up space. Keep improving
So would you recommend some one buying this vehicle all these years later?

Modern electronics in cars will take advantage off all the octane you can throw at them, to a point. Ford electronics for sure take advantage of better fuel.
why would i want a call that treats me like i am hold with my credit card company?
The Camry V6 is quite the sleeper. And so exciting to behold. ;)
his comes with the 3.73 gears the regular v6 comes with 2.73 gears
I was thinking about the aventandor's mpg until i took a mustang to the knee
I ended up getting a 2013 Mustang V6 Premium automatic and I have not been disappointed. I'd prefer a manual, but the rest of my family can't drive a manual... :( Still, though, I've found this to be excellent. I haven't been able to replicate such high highway fuel economy with my 3.31 gears. What speed do you use for the highway economy test? And what fuel? Does the fuel have 10% ethanol?
no there hasn't? are you high? where did you get that from?
In the UK fuel is more expensive, however the current value on a us dollar and a British pound is a large difference Leave the UK with 100 pound and come to America and exchange it for 250$ , thats the problem in the USA is our currencies value is so low
throw the procharger supercharger kit on this and it actually gets 33mpg while putting down about 450 hp. driveshaft swap is required though as the stock v6 driveshaft rips apart above 120 stock, so figure about 100 possibly with all the extra horsepower and torque the supercharger brings to the table

ford should do a rwd small compact like corolla size in put this 3.7 in there that would be a Hell of a everyday car good mpg and its four doors I'm all for 2 doors (I'm getting this next as my second car 😎) but ik more teens my age prefer 4 doors but they want the power in fun of rwd drive in compactness and good gas mileage this a good example I don't mind 30 mpg high way and 22 city ik if I baby it really I can get 25 city I'm js this is nice but 4 doors would've been a cool option to
That's sync.
