I just got a 2013 v6 automatic grabber blue, love it!!! Wish I got the premium but didn't want to pay extra, car was lightly used. Traded in my 2006 v6 mustang and I've noticed a massive improvement in performance. I can't justify paying the extra money and loosing the mpg to a v8 as I don't race or anything. And having a v6 keeps my insurance payments low. Paying $400 for car a month and $80 a month for insurance. Thanks for this video!

The mustang is a very great car for this price. You cannot compare a musclecar with an regular streetcar like bmw. Bmw has higher quality and it's more expensive. Dude, go drive your honda and leave us alone. We love this mustang.

That Cyclone V6 is more powerful than most old V8s. I have a variant of this in my 2010 Ford Fusion SPORT and it's a very fast car. It's basically a "Baby SHO" my Uncle Dave got a 2014 Mustang in the exact color of this one in the video and its also the V6 Premium trim awesome cars! 👍

I put intake an a full magnaflow street catback exhaust on mine which really seemed to wake the car up. as well as getting a coupe of mpg more out of it.

Wish I could test higher, but the state speed limit here in NJ is 65 MPH, so I use 68 MPH as the target speed. Higher speeds knock the numbers down. All of the gasoline sold here contains 10% ethanol. The big trick is to minimize lane changes, keep an adequate following distance, and touch the accelerator pedal as little as possible. Drive with the instant MPG gauge active ... this will help you learn when you can lighten up on the pedal. It really does help. :)

Why don't you use Mobil? It's in the top 3 for detergents in the fuel...which helps with carbon buildup. Just curious as to your reasons. I have to run 93 octane in my STI, and I've always run Mobil.

Eric - Sometimes I get lucky. :) The automatics are a whole lot easier, that's for sure. I'm not sure what was in the tank when I picked the car up, but I always try to put in whatever the spec might be (in this case, 87 octane regular), not over. I only use name brand fuel, most often Sunoco, never Exxon/Mobil.

The V6 Mustang with the performance package is the best performance value on the market still(just under 25,000 not counting rebates/deals!). The driveshaft issue has happened to about 3-5 cars on video. The stock driveshaft combined with 3.73 gears has been the culprit seemingly. the stock gears available from Ford with the stock driveshaft do not explode/grenade at 130-140mph. Ask me how I know. 2011 V6 Premium owner here :^)!

That is because they are a very, very docile, and safe 2:73:1, lol. They can go up very high miles an hour because they offer very little tension - if the rest of your car can get that fast, you won't be accelerated in the mid range and especially the low range with them.

I include the 3.31 gears that are a factory option from Ford for the V6 too. Mine has 3.31 gears and has been a few times over 130-135, and multiple times over 105-110, and has not grenaded yet, and a decent number of 1/4mile sprints too.

Take that restrictive crap off and put on a Cold air Intake and free up like 6hp. Put headers on it, upgrade Exhaust, add a Procharger or 100 shot nitrous, if you need more power. The 2013 v6 is a good car. The power output is great. Ford has done a good job with the engine. They just need to work on everything else. Its good just it could be better. They need to work on driver dynamics. You feel like your sitting in a coupe with just an engine to brag about. Seating position does not make one feel connected with the car. The door hinge is to close to the dash. Needs to be further front so it opens more for access. Door speaker is bulky and takes up space. Keep improving

throw the procharger supercharger kit on this and it actually gets 33mpg while putting down about 450 hp. driveshaft swap is required though as the stock v6 driveshaft rips apart above 120 stock, so figure about 100 possibly with all the extra horsepower and torque the supercharger brings to the table
