Great video. Not doing the swap but need to remove these parts for customizing. This may be old news as this is a few years old and I did not go back to read all the comments. no issues with anything climatic. the hard buttons work, and the touch screen buttons work too. but thats because i have the dual zone auto-climate package on my car.

HEY GREAT VIDEO. I just 2014 charger se with the connectivity package. My problem is i have a lot of background static on the FM radio. Everything else like bluetooth amd Aux cd ipod all sound fine only fm sounds nasty surprisingly the AM sounds crystal clear. I have been on countless forums trying to fix this. Is there anything you can recommend me doing besides taking to the dealer since they always come out with unable to replicate problem. Would switching the am to fm antennas in the back work. Any info would help Greatly. THANKS A MILLION.

Questions for you; when you installed the factory nav unit, did you save the old bezel for the dash? If so, can I buy that off of you?? Can you use the same harness from the 4.3 on the 8 inch screen?

Yes it is possible, I would only do it if you buy an old shit one in the hundreds of dollars range. You are also going to need another scrap car to pull the transmission and gear box out of. There are a few forum posts out there of some guys who have done it. There is very little info out there on how to go about it, so you will run in to some challenges

Its a feature that gives u gas prices nearby , movie listings, weather updates maybe animated. Its called sirius Xm travel link. My nav says the same thing from time to time "traffic ahead "

$1700 shipped or so. You can find used kits for under $1000 but they're getting rare.

i dont know what that is. what i do know, is my sirius/xm now has some traffic thingy working. sometimes when im driving the radio will turn down and a voice will say "traffic ahead". but its mostly useless, and i never see the traffic they are mentioning anyway.

Would you be able to post the part numbers that you used for the swap. I just purchased a 2013 Super Bee and am missing my 8.4 out of my 2013 Blacktop.

I'm currently playing the waiting game for my locked screen to sync with my car, bought the kit from the same person you did.. just had one variation with my car, I have the 2012 SXT with the 8 speed transmission so I had the different shift lever, but still found instructions for that and was a quick adjustment.

Quick question : does ur charger rb5 support seriusXM travel link? I didn't notice the " + " icon on the lower right corner just the "wrench" settings . I just did the rb5 swap on my '13 dart and I do not have travel link available. Xm shows I'm subscribed but I can't get the icon on the screen.

How much did this entire process cost?

i upgraded my 2013 charger SE to that screen. My question is, before i didnt have bluetooth and now with this screen that works fine and all but i dont have bluetooth. Is it that i also need the bluetooth module thats located under the steer column?

nope. i thought about that too. some real CF dash bezel would be nice. You could fit sticker stuff but that would just look cheap.

when i hit this site i looked at under all tabs cant find the 8.4 screen or the bezzle for it

its all bluetooth.if ur phone is hooked up to ur car (radio) by bluetooth you can have calls and/or text messages go straight to your screen.if u get a call itll pop up on ur screen and mute ur music if its playing.u can accept or deny the call just like a phone.if u accept then EVERYBODY in the car will hear your convo as ALL the speakers in ur car (even the rear window) will have whoevers talking come out. get it? ur car has a mic already u just drive and talk and they will hear you

Why did you switch out the deck? Do you have too if your switching the touch screens?

no, it doesnt work like that. if you didnt get the performance pages to begin with, you won't have them after the new screen either. (but some special edition chargers did come with the SRT performance pages.)

i cant barely remember. this was years ago.. but i think you do. cuz the new radio has a SD slot and you need a bezel that doesnt cover it up. but maybe im thinking of another bezel.

Does the factory Super Bee model (the one with the smaller display like yours, not the 2014 one that got changed due to government back-up camera regulation), have UConnect? I CANNOT find how to access it at all.

LastHumansGarage, I have a 2012 Charger SE without the auto climate controls. Im gonna try to upgrade but I know I most likely will not be able to use the auto climate feature. Hopefully ill be able to control the temperature somehow. Is there a way to add auto climate control? Will buy a new HVAC bezel that has an auto function give you this feature?
