Lying is not a good way to try to increase Jaguar sales!! THIS VIDEO.. EPIC FAIL!!!!

Jaguar failed to mention safety. In Europe, the XF only scored a 4 star NCAP Safety Rating. The 5-series scored 5 stars.

the pro driver seemed to lie. take a look at the wide turns at 10:59 and at 12:10. he said the BMW took the turn wide but the Jag looked wider.

here are the performance figures: 0-62 mph BMW: 6.2 sec vs Jaguar: 7.9 sec top speed BMW 155 mph vs Jaguar 150 mph So the difference is much bigger than in this review.

I've driven BMW's for years and love them over any car, but my friend just got the XF and I got to toss it around for a bit...excellent car in every way, and BEAUTIFUL...kudos to jaguar

We had a BMW M5 in navy blue, and then we got the Jaguar XF 2.7 L V6 in black. The Jag is far better than the BMW. BTW BMW doesbt come standard in leather here in Denmark.

I am a big jaguar fan and prefer the vehicle myself because that's what i like but damn was this video a bit bias

I know that this is about a 3 year old comparison now, but there is a pretty incredible amount of dishonesty going on in this video. And that is coming from someone who has been a longtime fan of Jaguars. You have to be honest when trying to sell your products.

anything below then a M or RS i'll choose the XF, but when it gets to M or XFRS then im not sure. Cuz I love the french racing blue, and I know u can get rid off the bigass wing and have a small one. But on the other hand, I like the dark blue M5 as well and 0-60 M5 is 0.2s faster then the XFRS, since M5 did it in 3.7s XFRS did it in 3.9. but I think the old V10 version is way better, it can do over 200MPH..hard to decide. but u know..i'll prob go for the XFRS since theres too many BMWs in US

James Bond would drive the Jag of course not the BMW; very infradig! The jaguar is a class act. A wonderful car...Thumbs up all round! Have one!

There are many reasons for choosing a car, the way they make you feel is number 1. I've got this XF in New Zealand and its perfect for our roads. Way more class and style than BMW. Always turns heads. BMW's get lost in the crowd.

Try competing with GS f sport. It owns the jag

Love the Jag, but the cars are in normal mode...the BMW does much better in sport mode.

BS, I have BMW 528i and 328i and I can tell you leather is standard, 18" is standard, even the idrive will eat jaguar lunch because you won't be looking down at the screen to see where you will touch your brain will do the work with the controller beside in the brakes you got the 528i with 17" with more profile of course it will be worse than jaguar and it will have more body roll.. BMW > JAG believe it you wouldn't make a direct competition on your official site BMW doesn't do that because they know where they stand.. The ultimate driving machine.

The video doesn't lie. Leather is not standard, you have to get the premium package to upgrade from its vinyl interior. BMW does a great job covering up their fake leather interiors by giving them fancy names. However in 2014 they finally made leather standard. I live in Cairo Egypt where we don't even select what options what comes standard is standard, they play with options as they please but they are very good in the market here they know exactly what a BMW customer needs in Egypt like it's supposed to have heated frnt seats as standard it doesn't because we will never need that so they remove that and put another option, I have the 528i comfort which this line is not anywhere but here I have the comfort access which is not standard, I have leather real one, I have TV, DVD, blueth the enhanced one, voice activation and command system and the navigation system professional but not activated need maps, I have active safety as stnd, I have 18" with 245 as stnd, what else do you want believe me they will put whatever they can as standard since car prices here are whooping expensive this car cost 700 thousand Egyptian pounds which is $100,000 price of an M5 and it's only 4 cylinders and above that it's assembled in Egypt imagine it's price if it was in Germany. I am a bimmer since 1999 I've driven 1, 3, x3 and 5 every car has it's own soul although they are heavily shared but still every one is unique like the 3 will always be my fav, among BMW line up but I'm I like how the 5 takes me from A to B in a comfort without all that body-roll in the video or that brake dive and that stuff. Jaguar is a very good company but it lost it's unique facial when they put that design language the old jags where a real Jag and they are trying to do is mimic BMW line up in everyway from engines to ergonomics.

Rusty Minded I appreciate your comment and reply. Global factors do make a difference in standard features absolutely. But this video is based for the US market and where BMW is lacking in standard features. However in the rest of the world that may not be the case, BMW may have a few advantages over Jaguar. I do have to agree with you in the fact they lost a certain appeal in looks, but they wanted to get away from the image of being a grandfather's car or an old man's car. Its hard to change over to attract a younger market without criticism. But we had to change because our older customers were either dying or dead. Either the company files bankruptcy or change the style. BMW is a great German engineered vehicle, but even like us we all have flaws.

I agree with what you say, they should study the market and put what's needed as standard I keep reading that about BMW in U.S market it lacks options and that is frustrating for a high priced car like this. I saw that day the old Jag and the new one GOD they are still catchy and unique here in Egypt, they barely have a market here because people go for what is most common for maintenance and all that.

it's well known that BMW gouges you with their packages...even for things that are standard on a camry, they force you to buy several thousand dollar packages...simply because they can. That is a valid criticism

Wow! What a lot of Beemer zealots out there. The Jag is a superior car, faster, better handling, and more attractive. The model in this comparison, however, isn't that great. Jag's turbo isn't nearly as good as the competitors' turbos. If this guy had driven a 3.0 liter supercharged Jag, it would be no contest. This is valid for the 2013, but the 3.0 liter XE is a better handling car than the XF, lighter and smaller. They're both really nice cars, and both will cost you a bundle to repair.

these guys are JOKE! I've seen so one-sided reviews only at Apple vs Anything reviews :D though I really wanted to see a proper comparision.

5 series interior feels much cheaper

Well... I'm buying a Jaguar XF this year but... this video is complete BS!!! Unbelievable how biased it is!!! I own a 2011 BMW 520d Touring and previously a 2009 BMW 520d Limousine and the only reason for me is just to have a change because I want to drive something different and have to agree that the Jaguar XF is a more exclusive car but that's for a good reason... The 5 series is an overall better product, I don't have any doubt about it in my mind.

This car is a gentle men's car and is very elegant. I actually own 3 jaguars. I own a jaguar s type r, xf portfolio, and a xjl ultimate. Jaguar is all about being elegant. All bmw offers is normal luxury cars. Jaguar has a beautiful yet aggressive look unlike the bmw. So what if the others cars are faster they are not as safe and luxurious as jaguars.

this video is disgusting u can't showoff by saying things ain't true about the bmw I have a 2013 jaguar xfr and I know what it is all what u said is true about it but u just make the bmw looks like a cheap toyota ! a lot of my friends have a bmw and what I noticed that their bmw has more options and what u said about having to unlock the door twice to open is for safety the only thing u were right about is that the jaguar gives u a very quick reaction after hitting the gas and I can say much quicker than the bmw other things u said about corners and brakes and options and interior is just bullshit

sw1000xg hhhhh r u kidding me right now dude !!! go and see the jaguar xf since 2007 until now u won't found anything new in the interior they just added some options to the screen but if u want to talk about which car is more comfortable and a car that u can drive for 24 hours without having your back broken of course it's gonna be the jag sitting in a bmw is just like sitting in a laptop but in the video as I said they just made the bmw looks like a cheap toyota and that's not fair tha jag is better than the bmw in somethings and the bmw is better than the jag in somethings too !! in all there test's the jag was better and that's a bullshit I had driven both cars and non of what they said is 100% true it must be that the jag is better in some point
