2012 Jaguar XJL Portfolio Drive and Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

( www.TFLcar.com ) The 2012 Jaguar XJL Portfolio reviewed. Back in 2011 Jaguar gave this new 2012 XJL an extreme makeover and what was once a frumpy XJ is now a stunning, chic and sexy part Aston Martin and part Jag XF top of the line cat. We dare you to name one car that competes with this Jaguar that so seamlessly blends the traditional British car virtues of old world luxury with new world chic. The new XJ comes in two variants. Our tester is the long wheelbase model with the normally aspirated 385 Horsepower Jaguar V8. That means this car has less power than the supercharged version, but what it lacks in HP in makes up for in back seat room and creature comfort. This Jaguar will go from 0-60 miles an hour in a few ticks below 6 seconds. That because it uses super light aluminum for much of its structure instead of steel.

My dentist has one of these cars and it is gorgeous. When I go to his office I always admire it in the parking lot. After paying for my new dentures, I feel I own a very small part of it.

I had a 2006 S-type...until 2 weeks ago when I bought this little caviar beauty. I thought I'd never part with the 2006, that was a damn fine car, never garaged for any type of repair EVER! This 2012 is amazing, heavy, masculine, safe and secure. Suede headliner, 2 tone black and tan seating w/baseball stitching, perforations in the seat for heating and cooling the cheeks, heated steering wheel, 0-60 in about 4 seconds-handles like a race car- Jaguar left nothing out when they created this car

I have had an XJ Portfolio for three years and love it. I tried the German alternatives on test drives, great cars but they have no soul, something is missing that the big cat has in bucket loads. The only car I thought was an alternative was a Lexus.I Great review of a great car.

this car was accidentally ridiculously fuel effiecant it turns out to have 40 more liters of fuel even after the meter hits zero in essence they put a huge fuel tank on it! you could easily go from one state to another without refueling and it is finally reliable and won't break down

Quite the opposite, actually: Jaguar cannot compete with the reliability and durability of the LS, and so it must compensate, with thrilling interiors and novel colors (oh, yes, and with "performance", just as Chrysler compensates for the inferiority of its products, by supplying many of them with engines which allow idiots to propel those cheap death traps at insane speeds). LS does not "compete", because its buyers and creators have our own set of priorities. With Lexus, it's possible to drive the car, every day, for seven or more years, with NOT ONE SINGLE MALFUNCTION. Even the tiny Lexus IS feels like something fine, heavy, and expensive. LS, the flagship, does what Rolls and Bentley do, in terms of serene travel - but without all the attendant worry and expense one has with Bentley and Rolls (or even S-class).
