I am just going to say this: A horses head is naturally in a "graze position" or lowered. Horses naturally stop quickly not using the shoulders but the hips. The rider could have stopped without pulling but this allowed a better stop. Some horses need a little pull. Reining allows the horses to slow down and speed up. Jumping a horse depends on the breed and history. Some horses are built for certain things. Western horsemanship only does things the horses do naturally. This horse can stop naturally and change leads.....ect, naturally. The split reins allow the horse to turn and extend the head. Roping and barrel reins are full reins to have max. control. Now please quit complaining! The horse is not in pain. Do AQH horses naturally jump? Depends on the horses geneology. I do lots of research and even some observing of horses. Yes I am 12.

the head set is also there to show how broke your horse is, all horses have a different one based on their conformation. I have a Western Pleasure mare who carries her head right below the top line or some times even lower, that's just the way she is. I have an older Quarter Horse mare who likes to peanut roll at the walk; she literally puts her head all the way to the ground. I never ask her to do this, but the way her conformation is, she likes to stretch her neck after exercise.

Dear *GOD* why can't these people be *QUIET.* Just let horse and rider do their thing, and shut the heck up. They have all the time at the end to cheer for them. Usually, in equestrian disciplines such as these, as well as english riding competitions, they want the crowd to be quiet because both the rider and the horse need to concentrate.

i worked in dog sled racing at the winning level and i am now super against animal competitions of all kinds. reining has the highest wastage rates second only to racing. this is a cruel sport and very hard on the horses body and mind. if they took away the run and stop, it would be way harder to point out why this sport is cruel, but they don't give af, they know its hard on their joints and want to do it anyway. even without that part the repetitive training and bits with long shanks is hard on them. these people don't want horses, they want robots.
@goathead5073
Жыл бұрын
@@doggodoggo3000 Ik dog sled racing can be gnarly. My friend's mom worked at a racing kennel and they kept dogs intact with the purpose of being able to whip their balls.... these people definitely prefer having robots over real horses, that's for sure. The amount of horses that end up at kill pen by age 7 because of injuries caused by competition is outrageous.
@doggodoggo3000
Жыл бұрын
@@goathead5073 i have heard the ball thing but never witnessed it. but most sled dogs are kept intact just because its cheaper and if its a good dog they wanna breed it. heard some guys would tie a rope around the dogs balls so can give it a yank, most people aren't using whips per se but there are ways around that. just because whips aren't allowed doesnt mean these dogs aren't getting whipped somehow. (if you have netflix there is a show called losers with an episode about an iditarod musher named aly zirkle, mitch seavey is another musher and in the show he says "there is a limit to what she would do" and hes talking about crap like that, whipping dogs and other horrible stuff. )the musher i worked for would whip dogs if they got tired just to give them a hit of adrenaline to finish a training run, hes the one that told me about the ball thing but we never actually did it. its funny you say that because ive never actually read that. i don't thinbk thats a claim made anywhere by PETA or sled dog action coalition, its more insider knowledge. a claim thats basically impossible to prove. but there is some truth in there i just know it. back when people did use whips i bet some mushers made a point to whip the balls, sounds about right in my experience. but yea, most sled dogs are intact. some of these people have several hundred dogs and they live in very rural areas, there no reason to get them fixed. if you are a competitive racer and you have dogs that are aging out or get hurt you just breed more, and if you want to start a sled dog kennel for yourself you just take someone's old dogs and breed those. just about every very musher is looking to get rid of a few dogs. "you are only as fast as your slowest dog" You can only make your team faster by removing the weakest link. and even tourism kennels want to get rid of old dogs, the kennel that provided dogs for the movie togo does "free adoptions" because of coarse they freaking do. if its old its taking up a spot and its just another mouth to feed, take it please. The beginning of the game "red lantern" is pretty accurate actually. the rest of the game isn't. the the premise of a person moving to alaska to runaway from whatever and then taking abunch of mushers old dogs for free and getting into mushing is honestly accurate af. its accurate up until the point the actual gameplay starts. the rest is just a caricature of what people think its like.
@doggodoggo3000

Now please quit complaining! The horse is not in pain. Do AQH horses naturally jump? Depends on the horses geneology. I do lots of research and even some observing of horses. Yes I am 12.

You go girl! It makes me so happy to see some more young people being so well versed, especially when it comes to equine issues. I wish more young riders like you would be so committed to research and theory. Go get 'em!

I LOVE reining!
Just saw this. You non-reiners need to educate yourselves. This was an awesome run on a completely loose rein. And remember, this is a four-year old horse. Much more to come from this awesome team.
I wish they'd just have the judges yell "SIMON SAYS..." and go from there lol
The wooing is normal.. of you dont like it. Then dont watch it
@MaggieV 1.They are split reins 2. Western does not require use of helmet 3.AQHA western requires proper cowboy attire ex.Hat/Shirt and belt 4.
I've seen you comment about almost all of these videos and I freaking LOVE YOU.
Just take the left earphone out. Fixes everything :)
the most amazing reining horse I have ever seen!
Fantastic! What a beautiful horse. Very motivated and Dynamic!
Wow! Beautiful to see!
The saddle isn't ill fitted. We don't use back cinches during competition therefore causing the illusion of a poorly fitting saddle when the horse makes certain maneuvers.
They don't come much cuter than Lil Joe Cash. It's interesting to watch this run after watching his Futurity run and see the improvement in the turnarounds.
the head set is also there to show how broke your horse is, all horses have a different one based on their conformation.
Daaaang... That was gorgeous. From an English standpoint, there is just something about this that English, with all its elegance and class, cannot match.
I never have competed in a show, but I use to ride a horse that was a show horse and knew the spin move and the instructure showed me how to make her do it and it was really fun! I only did it on her once or twice tho.
no one: literally no one: the lady in the audience: WOWWAAAAAWOW.
Wow, great.. amazing ..
It's true that headset doesn't matter to judges but it is definitely trained into the horse & could be trained out if you wanted. It's a personal choice for the owner/rider how the horse carries it's head. Anyone who thinks it's a natural carriage has never watched wild horses.
Amazing
Incredible horse👌🏻 great run
Us- how’s it feel to be hated by people watching horse videos? Her- WOO WOO
I paused this video several times to gawk at the saddle fit.
You're 100% right!!!
Started with western riding yesterday, I've never done it befor, it's totally definitely but I like it though
4:35 was amazing
you are so right about the noise.. they do it at cuttings as well.. not random, usually someone in the arena that is doing it on purpose.. if they threatened to deduct points for it, they would stop it!
What a beautiful ending he had
whistling in reining is a complement hahaha
I'm just trying to figure out if he's wearing an AP Rose Gold & Ceramic ROO, which is cooler than any buckle.
People who say this are the sport against the natural behavior of the horse. Are precisely the people whose horses have to jump over a meter sixty. And it is these people whose horses have to undergo a short LDR, so the rider can and cleared his horse. It is these people who have never heard of Natural Horse Man chip and those who have never heard of a cowsens
The best part is the lady who ownes the horse and her wooing guess she is pleased with Joe's run !
Wow! I am not a western rider but that last movement was spectacular. Just the sort of training you would want if you were a cowboy on the trail and a tree fell unexpectedly on your path...
western riding is so different
WoOoOoO wOoOoOo
i don't know much about western at all,so i was wondering, why are the reins not tied and why don't they wear helmets? didn't say anything about not wearing helmets online so i was just wanting to know, we have to wear helmets in show jumping
I don’t understand? This is controversial yes, but it’s a championship. It’s a show. People are going to cheer??
ok but those spins where fire
little Joe Cash was good at reining and was a good looking Quarter Horse .
which pattern is that?
I’m no western rider BUT neat stuff I show jump
Can anyone tell me why he is using so much hand?? I do know a little bit about Reining and have never seen anyone use so much hand...
snazzy saddle pad.. where can i get one?!!
score?

I like western riding 😁

i don't like any riding, especially if its for competition. this is incredibly hard on a horse. fake cowboy bs. The whole "rough and tough" cowboy attitude prominent in wester riding is really hard on horses.
This is not Abuse at all! The horse doesn't seem to be showing Pain at all, I also Don't see no Rollkur
The one girl who keeps screaming is going to make me kms
He looked like he was getting ready to Buck in the lope kinda but amazingly trained

no. the only riding that doesnt suck is natural horsemanship. English and western both suck.

Can someone explain why reiners gallop normally, by just giving the horse its head, but barrel racers shove their hands into the horse's ears while pulling up on the bit?? It makes no sense to me and it looks stupid.

Mikayla Nayback ikr. And it's not like the reiners need to kick the Shit out of their horses to get them to go
Why is there a screaming goat in the crowd?
those skid boots over polo wraps look like jesus sandals over socks!
why do horses spin
The lady sounds like a sped up luigi
3:32 is when he does a rollback
Can someone explain why they have the horse trudge around on their forehand?
What's the point of reining?

Bizzarre, but nice! They must get eye strain looking up trying to see where they are going. I mean the horse! I neither liked nor disliked this video.
Pauvre poney....
The whoo-woo person ruins this for me.
Nice horse but when you brake a horse he's head shouldn't be so low like that beutifull horse though
Dear *GOD* why can't these people be *QUIET.* Just let horse and rider do their thing, and shut the heck up. They have all the time at the end to cheer for them. Usually, in equestrian disciplines such as these, as well as english riding competitions, they want the crowd to be quiet because both the rider and the horse need to concentrate.
that wooing it's freaking annoying... even if it's a thing, that's way abused here, and so close to the camera... great run BTW
amazing run but the lady whoo whooing was a bit obnoxious!
What a beautiful horse, very well trained I realize the reason the women shouting but it is none the less still annoying, also I would think that shouting would scare the horse no?
Nobody is going to mention that he should've been disqualified because the tail is clearly drugged/numbed?

i worked in dog sled racing at the winning level and i am now super against animal competitions of all kinds. reining has the highest wastage rates second only to racing. this is a cruel sport and very hard on the horses body and mind. if they took away the run and stop, it would be way harder to point out why this sport is cruel, but they don't give af, they know its hard on their joints and want to do it anyway. even without that part the repetitive training and bits with long shanks is hard on them. these people don't want horses, they want robots.

@doggodoggo3000

@@goathead5073 im curious about the kennel your moms friend worked for and when. its a pretty small world of mushers. was it in the us, canada, or in europe? what kind of racing was it. im hecka curious who she worked for, i have my guesses if it was in the us and canada. i worked in dog sled racing fairly recently ftr. i got out in march of 2021.
that dolphin in the background needs to shut up
If I hear someone say WOOW again im gunna flip. But at least the horse is so gourgouse
Arrogance, arrogance. You should try working with WP horses sometime. My filly is naturally level-headed. Like I said before, do your homework before you comment.
Reining already looks great... Unfortunately you'll not hear more of this horse after 2 or 3 seasons.... his joints will be destroyed...

The Voice of one woman is so whooaahooiii I HATE IT😂So triggered
I hate this new head position that the big trainers are trying to get from the horse, so un-natural. Many are using Botox to paralyze the neck muscles to keep the head low, very sad in my book! Sure wish AQHA would do something, but they will not!
The woman sounds like a tribal member.
jesus christ am i the only one that thought that woman sounded like a police siren?!?
He do So good but the lady is so annoying she like WAO WAO 😤 but very good jod
