2011 Mk6 GTI CTS K04 vs 2015 Mk7 GTI IS38
A very short clip of my trusty MK6 GTI going against a MK7 GTI IS38....."in Mexico".
The IS38 called the horn and spun a tad at the start. The filiming car is a MK6 GLI Gen3 with a full IS38 swap.

That mk6 can Move
Hey hey now, that looked like the is38 car almost had a mis-shift, lol. Definitely a good night though!
Dsg definitely helped a lot. Same transmission and the mk7 would probably be a couple cars out front. Is38 is smaller than a k04 but flows wayyy better.
Another video that illustrates how DSG makes a big difference.

vr6gls it makes a significant difference for sure. However, on the rest of the runs I still pulled away. But, my boy is a hell of a driver as well. I had to drive my ass off from 2-3, 3-4. After that, the turbo took over

The following car is pretty nice
28-30 psi on k04 turbo ? Mine is only pushing 22 psi and 16 psi by redline

yourfast07 I'm gonna take a guess that your running a 2 bar MAP sensor, right? If so then that's why you pull 16-22psi. I have an OEM mk6 golf R 3 bar MAP sensor in my GTI and the tune is specifically designed for this which allows the K04 to request 30-32psi, peak at 28-30psi and holds strong at 25psi. The only 2 Tuners that I know are doing this are United Motorsports and APR. I'm running UM💪🏾

Dru Saunders Yes I have oem 2 bar MAP, but also Hpa tune. I will be switching to UM I guess lol, are you running stock fuel pump and injectors ?

yourfast07 HPA is a good company but I've not heard much on there tunes so I can't speak for them. I had United Motorsports stage 1 and it was comparable to everyone else's stage 2. When I went K04 they highly recommended the 3bar MAP tune to squeeze everything out of the K04 that you can. Yes, I'm running stock fuel pump and stock injectors. There's only one company that makes aftermarket injectors for the TSI engine and they are $400 per injector! It's not worth the upgrade unless you're going fully built engine, IMO.

Hmm, im getting a f23t for my mk6 dsg gti. Currently stage 2 eurodyne, e40 blend. Im keeping with stage 2 mk7 gti. I believe i would be killing a lot of people with f23t on meth

Dudes a bum for not getting an IE FMIC on his is38 swap lmao. like really dude. He'd gap you with that mod alone. It adds a very big butt dyno difference especially top end.

He also has the wrong tune lol, needs a 2+ file. good looks with the UM
