Actually I want this car... Don't need no fucking 250 hp in a world where 80% of the time I am stuck in traffic (with a gas price that is going nuts because I don't live in America). Plus for a family car you don't need more than 134 hp because you drive slow and carefully... And the car looks and feels good... Good reliable city/commuter car... Lexus made a "what you need" car...in a "what you want" world! We are all fucked... Go buy a Ferrary 🤣

If your able to drive these into some curves, they are actually pretty good. Same drivetrain as the Prius, but a much better suspension setup.

I think they missed a golden opportunity to hype up the drivetrain, and put bigger electric motors on it. They handle better than a Prius, and cousin put the power down. It would be the only hybrid to not be miserable to look at and drive.

I really wish they would’ve made a sportier version of the CT with at least the 2.5 V6

@@ciello___8307 I want the practicality of a hatchback or wagon. As many Europeans do or at least did (before the SUV trend). I bet if Lexus had offered more hatchbacks and wagons in the nineties and zeros, they would have been a whole lot more popular in Europe. But worse, Lexus did not even offer foldable back seats. And still doesn’t, in their sedans (and they still don’t make wagons). Logically the CT was the first ever good selling Lexus in Europe. And to this day, is the best selling Lexus ever, in Europe.

Funny cause I'm looking for a CT200h because of the lines and the hybrid. I don't care about the lack of speed. I want the looks and 43mpg. Cheers...

you can find them for like 8-13k they are starting to depreciate rather slowly now though. i’d say in another 5 year it will trickle down to 7-10k

This is my next used car after loving 2 Prius. Its a sportier, more stylish version of the Prius drivetrain that I'm sold on. Reliability and economy.

They are. Here in Finland we still see prius taxi’s that have over 400k on clock. My ct is 190k driven and yearmodel is 2012. Works just like new one. Also Lexus/Toyota gives you 10year warranty for hybrid battery. I think it tell’s something.

I just bought one in Japan and it has a 6 speed “manual mode” with paddle shifters lol. Still the same cat tho. I pick it up tomorrow and will make a video on it, we’ll see how it goes haha

I wish these auto reviewers would take some time to educate themselves on what a Toyota hybrid synergy drive is. The “ECVT“ is not as much a transmission as it is a drive unit. It is the most essential part of the car.
