2010 FORD FUSION 3.0L Tune Up - How to Change Spark Plugs

After researching this project I realized that I needed to film this. This is the 3.0L V6 Ford Fushion and I wanted to cover the details of removing the intake manifold in order to change the plugs in the rear of the engine. Good news is this updated V6 is much easier to work on then the older generation V6 from ford.

Shop prices are insane I’ve had my 2012 3.0 flex fuel for a few years as a daily I’ve done water pump throttle body and maf, all easy to do myself then I wrecked it hard was able to save thousands replacing the entire front suspension at home because I bent everything and broke my rims and axles, these cars are very easy to work on compared to other fords

Ford uses spring couplings. One pipe inserts into the other. You can buy the cheapo plastic tool at Autozone (usually has like 5 or 6 sizes). They go around the tube and you slide it into the coupling housing to release the spring, then pull the two sections apart. I do not remember any clips when I did mine, but my car is an early 2010 (manufactured in June 2009), so there might be a change.

Hmmm, well you can get an OEM equivalent plug from virtually any manufacturer but you are going to have your different tiers ya know...like you coppers, platinum, Double Platinum, Iridium etc....do you remember roughly how much you paid? I work at a parts store lol...and I dont sell the Motorctaft platinum plugs that are recommended. Heard they were just relabeled NGK's...who knows though. Thanks for the instructional video though as I have the same car.
