@@codymiller1994 The 6th gen Camaro is a flop sales wise. Sure it performs really well but its not popular. The 6th gen plain SS compared to the 5th gen has zero road presence..none. The 1le and zl1 options make the car look way better but its not helping sales. The 5th gen has that classic muscle car look that the Camaro wont have again.

@@blackice7408 Yep, it’ll be sad when the Camaro out of production again. I’m more of a mustang fan, but competition is always good. If it wasn’t for the 5th Gen Camaro, I’m not sure Ford would’ve even bothered to make the 5L for the Mustang.

@@Tywild327Clapped out? No way, not unless you’re living somewhere where people are of the “I know what I’ve got” mentality or are just upmarking at a dealership like crazy. I see a lot of high mileage (100k+ miles) 5th gen 1SS and 2SS coupes and convertibles going for around $16-25k; obviously with the later year models costing a bit more. Most 5th gen RS’ models 🎉that are genuinely high mileage or “clapped out”, at least with a clean title; those still rake in anywhere from under $10k to maybe $18k tops. And the ZL1 and Z28 (obviously) are still appreciating in value. I personally have a 2010 2SS LS3 coupe, and I would’ve personally opted for a 2013, for the 10-13 chassis and 14-15 goodies.

Yeah...pity about that. Your Detroit beancounters are about to destroy 90 years of Australian car manufacturing in one fell swoop. GM should NEVER have been allowed to buy Holden in the 1930s. You sucked us dry...used our talent to improve your products and then dumped Holden as soon as the fire grew a bit hot. In the GFC profits from Holden helped keep GM afloat. So you keep your Chevy. +tripsadelica and by the way, the 6th Gen is built on the alpha platform and is lighter and faster with another American v8 and chassis... Overall upgrade... So none of this matters now...

It matters to me. It matters to my fellow Australians. I will never buy another GM, Ford or any other US vehicle again and I'm not alone here. GM will rue the day it screwed us over. Its sales here will tank, big time. Ford is already slumping badly in local sales. From now on I will buy Japanese or European.

gm doesn't build this car for their Australian sales. its american muscle. plenty of sales here and not even a fraction of its sales come from Asia and Oceania.

I test drove both the Camaro and the Mustang when they came out. Jay said it right, the Camaro has the better handling.

light years better than those pos mustangs..EVERYTHING is way better...high speed stabilty is rock solid where as those mustangs weave all over the road once over 90mph. and that fekin hood flutter is an utter joke..driveline vibration aswell...aircon failures all over the place. AVOID THOSE MUSTANGS LIKE THE PLAGUE

My favorite Camaro is the 4th Gen 1993-1997 with the LT1 and a 6 speed. The prices are crazy for one in decent shape though

benefits: usually the filter is an open air element, meaning its not in a intake box. the filter is usually routed down low away from the heat of the engine so you get cooler denser air which equals more power, makes an awesome sound as the revs rise. Downside: If you hit a puddle or drive in the rain theres a chance you can suck water into your engine which can be pretty bad

2020 here. I wish my 2012 2SS looked this clean. I also wish I could pop my hood and it stays up. Here the Camaro came back after 7 years and it'll be gone again soon. Sad times.

The Camero is actually Australian underneath. It is in the uk a Vauxhall VXR Monaro. In Australia, It is the Holdon Commodore HSV. In the USA, it is the Chevy Camero. Under neath it is all identical, just body is different.
