@@marcellogenovese199 I addition, he had seen the Spelltwine and other blue cards revealed off the top by Yuriko, it was a terrible color choice to NOT pick blue.

Not surprising you reached 200 Episodes. Best Commander Channel by far. Best Wishes for the next 200 Episodes.

Darksteel Amulet, Treasure Map and Mishras Bauble are other good cards in the same vein and of course theres always Thasa, God of the Sea and Sensei's Divining Top as well. Game play wise I've found Yuriko leans heavily on two major things, getting enough ninjas through to trigger her ability and making sure you can manipulate the top card of your library enough to maximise the damage. Ive also found its worth playing a few defensive enchantments, Propaganda and Hissing Miasma are my current choices but you can also try stuff like Lethal Vapours, Murderous Betrayal or No Mercy, as you will sometimes get targeted for attacks. especially by players who know how much damage Yuriko can throw out given half a chance.

Congrats man! Been a subscriber for almost two years and you are still my fav channel for EDH gameplay.

Seeing Yuriko go off was something else. That was super fun.

Love seeing a Yuriko deck go at it. Mine's definitely my most enjoyable deck!

So, what lesson did we learn today, kids? That's right: when Yuriko is out and someone can't block her, her controller is the Archenemy and must go down, no questions asked.

Cannot agree more with this. You have to take the Yuriko player out of the game asap, whether she's on the field or not. Either that or enjoy the look on their face as you resolve a humility.

It's so important to know your own cards.

Going by the starting hands, I'll guess Yuriko will win the game. 1:03 Five lands and a mana dork for Fred. Terrible. He was still able to draw some decent nonland cards on curve and became one of the biggest threats on the table. Underestimated Yuriko. 1:10 Perfect start for Jamie. 3 lands and only cmc 1-4 spells. Ends up stuck on 3-4 mana for half the game, but kills 2 opponents with Yuriko's ability and completely runs away with the game afterwards. I'd say he had the best chances to win from the start, but got delayed by having his mana rock destroyed. 1:20 4 lands and only cmc 4+ spells for Mat. Super slow, but his starting spells were powerful value generators. He drew a Wall of Omens early and had enough lands to cast all the big spells from his starting hand, becoming one of the strongest players on the table. Also underestimating Yuriko. 1:27 Also 4 mana and no early play for Jonathan. Also super slow, but Unburial Rites is a good card to start with. Drew Price of Glory early and got some decent preasure on board, but then all his stuff just melted away to boardwipes and removal. Almost made a comeback against Jamie with Unburial Rites, but Jamie simply had too many answers left in hand.

I didn't realize that Pitiless Plunder combos with March of the Machines to make infinite death triggers.

Damn Jamieson’s deck functioned well with the low cmc commander and ninjas to compensate from that mana spread

Having built a Yuriko deck and played against a different one, I went into this game expecting it either to run away with it or get targeted. Surprise Surprise it wasn't targeted and ran away with it lol

i love yuriko, and glad that she won this round. but seriously, how many 6,7,8,9 spells does that deck have? it does have more chances to deal a chunk when it hits, but not having enough low cmc creatures, and heavily relying on yuriko herself is very inconsistent.

He didn't swing for the first time. All he did that turn was cast Arcane Adaptation. Beyond that, I don't think Mat blinked the Stonehorn.

So I didn’t see this in the comments, but every time Bane of Progress hit the field Fred’s treasures should have been destroyed.
