I've got no idea whether to laugh or cry, so I do both.... My "crying" eye is for the fact that I will probably never see such a collection "live and in full colour"... The laughing (more likely the marvelling) eye is for the fact that I can at least be there virtually. Decades of Matchbox history. As I watch, my own childhood passes me by. It's impossible to concentrate on one model, the overall impression is too enormous and you only see a part of this gigantic treasure trove. Thank you so much for sharing T. Such a sight delights a DIE CAST crazy old man. Or to quote Matchbox-Marty: I'M HAPPY WITH THAT 👍🏼🤣 (shoutout to Melbourne, mate and greetings to "KEVIN" 🇦🇺🐨😜) Looking forward to part 2 (if there is one) Hooroo from the comfy armchair, where five long-nosed foodies are currently trying to get hold of some of "Papa's" French cheese.... 🤣👍🏼🇦🇺✌🏼🇩🇪👍🏼🤠

Sparky, this room was a time capsule, even for me. I’m not quite old enough to have had the earliest editions shown here, as a kid. But there were plenty of castings that I got in the 70s and 80s that are fantastic to see in pristine condition. 🦘👍

That is some collection,more than money here it looks like a lifetime of memories. Hopefully they go to a good home,take care Tyrone 👍🇮🇪

I working in a second handed store and people donating alot there for free and bring many matchboxes almost I see them almost daily be donated. I didn't know them were so expensive thank you to wake me up I will put them in my pocket from now on

Laughing because of the mind blowing insanity inducing scope of the collection. Crying because of the realization that just one of those really expensive models is worth the value of my entire firetruck collection ! The seller was very generous with his time and access to his amazing collection. I cheekily asked if I could film it and was surprised when he said yes, so I did what I could with the camera I had in the car. It really is another world than the one I collect in! 😂👍🦘

Amazing collection! Thanks for showing this to us. When I was little, my dad would take me to the local drug store and I could pick out a vehicle from a big Rotating Matchbox display. I remember them being well under one dollar each. Long gone now, but great memories.

Wow amazing collection of Lezney Matchbox Diecast I have some I don’t necessarily collect but you know how the hobby is you end up with a bit of everything

I kissed my mothers hand when I see her after 15 years last week. Not because she is tough breed mom who raised four boys in toughest asshole situations but because she bought me some fine pieces of Made In England Matchbox cars on those tough times. Mom, I love you to the moon and back. Love you with all my heart and soul.

That's quite a lot. Wonderful. All boxed and in mint Condition. I own a much smaller Collection of Matchbox models, mostly without the Boxes. But there's one Model in my Collection, that you don't have: the Ferrari Belinetta in Red, regular Wheels. Without the Box and in "played" Condition, but definitely not restored. It's very rare in red Colour. But I have no Idea, how much it might be worth. Maybe it's the most caluable Car of my small Collection.

As a child, now 50 years ago, I had a nice collection of Matchbox cars. But there is one that I always remember first. I think it was a king size. A big black American car. At the front you could fire a missile and at the back the trunk popped open and you could launch a screw-like disc. Maybe you know about such a model. I'm not sure it was a Matchbox though. It would be nice to have pictures. I am in the process of modeling this car in Blender.

Just reminder that a simple of how a hobby collection can grow. Very nicely displayed . Just a reminder that although this is impressive remember that everyone has their own needs and that it is the quality is more important then guantity. On saying this I found the Matchbox Boone county police set. It looks good and other then Hazzard squad fire engine all others licenced models. For all collector's keep the hobby for your own interests.

Hello, Tyrone. I know you love the Cougars. You can check out a KZread video by The Boca Brothers Classic Cars, Mercury Cougar; Why It Was Better Than It's Sister, ENJOY!!!

These were absolutely beautiful cars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can remember being a kid in the 70's and having some of these cars 🚗 😳 and 🏁racing🏁 them all day long. Well for a 7 year old all day is about 2 hours...lol. We had a long coffee table and I'd set up my 4 or 5 cars and lift the end and OFF they'd go. The winner would be the one to fall off the end first. Then tracks came into play. Jumps, etc. The Matchbox were so cool and different looking, almost space age. It's funny now how I love the detail Matchbox has in their cars, licensed more than anything. Back then I didn't care about licensing just how 😎cool😎 they looked. Hot Wheels were also fun. They were usually faster, BUT my favorites were not Hot Wheels. I had an old Corgi Jaguar E-Type that oddly was a shiny pinkish color with rally stripes. It had different looking wheels, not the normal red-line wheels. I've hunted for one of those old Corgi's for a decade. I found one but it was extremely expensive. I can't afford to spend $50.00+ on a die-cast car nowadays. Makes me wish I wouldn't have blown so much on my Star Wars Black Series figures and Marvel Legends. These older castings from the 70's are my fondest memories. The older Lesney models from the 60's are beautiful, extremely beautiful, but I only had a limited amount of them. Mainly the trailers, horse 🐎 trailers, etc. Your dedication of Matchbox is so important to many of us. You bring us back to the past, show us cars we played with as kids. Thank you sir. 😊 I am, well was a collector of all die-cast cars. From Auto🌎World,🌎 Johnny Lightning, M2, even Maisto, of course Mattel Hot Wheels mainline and premiums, and Matchbox. I collect not just brands, I collect Models, car types. The best part is Matchbox seems to have made or makes many of the cars I loved and still love. The station wagons, Vista Cruiser, the older Chevy, Buick, and other models. The old Ford Thunderbird. Lincoln Mark IV & V. The Cadillac Eldorado and Seville. But back to the older models, the suspension, the details, and the crazy looks made my 70's Matchbox some of my all time favorites. I do wish I could find some of them cheaper. Hi Mike. Not sure exactly where the red interior version fits into the scheme of things but the easiest way to find out how common or rare a car is, is to search for it on eBay. Look for one for sale that is as close to yours as possible and the asking prices will give you some clues. 🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♂️

The Impala with the red interior is the most common version. The one to look for has ivory interior , unpainted base en grey plastic wheels. Those can bring up to 2500 -3000$!

Unbelievable collection but good luck getting anywhere near the prices shown. A great collection but when I tried selling a part of a large collection I have although I sold to resellers they offer peanuts!
