2009 Mazda 5 serpentine belt replacement using zip tie!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today my neglected and forlorn Mazda 5 received a new serpentine belt. The job is fairly easy except for one part and that is where the zip tie comes into play.
Here is a great place to get a replacement serpentine belt:
rover.ebay.com/rover/1/706-534...
You should replace the A/C belt at the same time and you can get that here:

Wow! That's very awesome Mike. I replaced my Toyota Corolla belt, and now I'll try with a Mazda 5 (my sister car). I was pretty sure isn't the same way to do it. Thank you Mike, you posted a really helpful video.

Thank you Mike - really helpful guide. I successfully replaced the drive/serpentine belt on our 2008 2.0L Mazda 5 Petrol Automatic using your guide, the belt diagram was very much appreciated. The part number for my UK based car was Dayco 6PK1310. Need to come back and install the A/C belt once it arrives, should be straight forward once I slacken the serpentine belt (which was tearing, otherwise would have waited for the A/C belt to arrive and do it in one go).

Thanks a lot for this tip. I have a stretch belt tool but because the belt runs so close to the inner wing and AC pipe it wouldn't work as it fouled them when rotating the pulley. Instead of chopping the tool down I tried this. Perfect!

Great video nice one 👍 and one handed ✋ I remember when I replaced my belts on my e91 BMW 335 I felt really happy and excited 😆 nothing like new belts can't see why some ppl chance thier arm and don't replace things. My belt came off on the motorway due to the water pump going

Thans for the video. It helped me a lot. I have a Volvo with the same engine but without a tensioner. At least it is not like yours, it looks like fixed in place. It is not posible to move forward to release the belt. Now the belt makes sometimes a noise when starting.

Hi Mike and thank you for your video! By any chance, don't you have a full video of a petrol 2L Mazda 5 Engine made pieces and after that put back again? My Mazda 5, a 2008 Mazda 5 with a 2L petrol engine, eats a lot of oil and unfortunatelly I do not have trust in car services in my city.... Do you think that's a job anyone can do? I mean, replacing the valves and so on? Thank you!
