Your cheerfulness cheers me up!

Just sold my 05 Breeze, 90,000 miles for £900 feel like I’ve given it away. A great car, cheap motoring never missed a beat over the 6 yrs I had it.

My Dad (he's a Grandad as well) has a 55reg 1.6 Breeze, he's had it from new and only done 30k. I think styling wise they have aged quite well. Only had one thing go wrong, something to do with the ignition/immobiliser. 40 mpg on a longer journey, 35 mpg around town. No rust. For cheap reliable car, its decent enough.

Always a fan of Vauxhall/Opel when it comes to reliability and ease of ownership, so cheap to run and to fix on a budget :)

Think you did ask, but I use Synetiq as they have a yard close to me, and its around £50 for the Year, or £80 for 2 Years I think, Copart fees are higher, as is the membership fee. It's all on the websites :)

My brother had one of these a few years ago it was a great car at the time but as you say bit dated now

My son Bought one brand-new 05 rag the same Colour electric blue he at to Wait six months to have it built he wanted it With a digital radio in it he managed to to tack it to 160000 miles before the mass airflow valve and other things were going wrong he traded it in for a TDI pole because he like mine now I have swooped my polo for a 65 reg 16 diesel Astra which I does not sound like a tractor it very Quiet engine I’m just getting used to Cruise control which I’ve never had in a car before but I can’t believe I’ve got a controls on the Stirling wheel for a Hands free phone but the Bluetooth is not built into the radio on my model of Astra its a good thing no one phones me Anyway

Sounds as though your Son certainly got some good use out of the Astra before things began to go wrong, the newer Astra's are great cars too! I did review a new Astra Diesel on my channel recently also, so if you have time take a look at that video. Thanks for your coment Eddie :)

I owned 3 opel astras in the past and found them to be great cars but stopped buying them once this shape came in.

YES! I loved owning that car, you get a LOT for your money in my opinion. I will be doing a video review on the newer shape Hyundai i30 soon too, that's a great car for the money, and well worth considering on a budget. Thanks for your comment :)

@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes thank you! I really really love the sporty look of the proceed...but I do need something that big bigger to fit a child seat in... My 3 door Ibiza RS isn't quite cutting it anymore 😅.. I know I should get a 5 door but there just so ugerly in my opinion 🤦😂

I have the same engine 1.6 petrol 2009 astra h ,I have been looking for info on the fuel filter location I have read that on the petrol model it is located in the fuel pump and do not need to be changed with yearly services ..can anyone confirm if this is true or not thanks

Yes on the petrol it's a non service part, unless you change the whole tank

Well that's good to know So I never have to worry about changing the fuel filter when I service the car just the oil and all the other filters 😊

Thank you very much I serviced the car a few months ago and just done the oil and filters and was very worried coz I didn't change fuel filter so this definitely put my mind at ease thank you very much

That colour on Vauxhall's is a bit of a nightmare - there are 6 to 8 different shades of that paint.

@@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes I had a Corsa that colour, and after spraying it twice the body shop gave up. They said we've got a £3000 machine to match the colour that says it right - I've got a mk1' eyeball that said it wasn't!😁 Still like the colour though 👍

Jeez! - what on earth have you got to complain about? If you had bought a rival model for £500 you would have a rotting money pit that you would be working on every weekend. If you had paid £1000 for a BMW 1 series you would have been tearing your hair out.
