2008 Hummer H3 Review - Kelley Blue Book

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

FOR PRICING & SPECS ON THIS CAR VISIT: kbb.com/KBB/NewCars/HUMMER_H3....
Hummer H3. Lets try some word association. When I say Hummer, what word comes to mind? Massive? Gargantuan? Titanic? For many, the Hummer name is synonymous with plus-sized, military-inspired SUVs. But even the Hummer brand realizes that in order to survive in the modern era it might be wise to put some of its eggs in a slightly smaller basket.
Welcome to our comprehensive Kelley Blue Book review of the Hummer H3.
It may not have the imposing stature of its big brother, the H2, but the H3 offers all the bold style buyers expect from a Hummer, just on a smaller scale. With truly impressive off-road abilities, a reasonably roomy interior and available V8 power, the H3 encapsulates the fun of the Hummer lifestyle without the real or imaginary social and fuel costs often associated with the full-size, full-on H2. For more new car reviews, interviews and automotive news visit www.kbb.com today.

I just got a H3, traded in a '08 Wrangler Unlimited 4 door. The H3 far exceeds the jeep in every aspect...with it absolutely killing it in interior fit and finish. This truck is in a league of its own and I can't wait for my new tires to get put on so I can really test this thing out.

Just got my 06 used Hummer from a Denver Dealership. Drove it back home over several Mountain Pass, climbing in elevation all the way home to the High Country. Although it doesn't have that instant power when overtaking slower vehicles going up the Pass, it compensates when it glides down the steep mountains, hugging the curves with ease and speed. Can't wait to see how it handles the freezing cold Winter and icy roads. For now it's out to the back country to test it's capability in the dry hot Summer conditions. Fun times !!

My mom surprised me with an H3 a few months ago. It's got a 3.5L Inline-5 and plenty of space for me. I'm 6'1" and weigh 200 pounds so that might say something? Anyways, today I raced a Honda Pilot and won. The H3's performance is vastly underrated and it is a really great SUV. I've learned to really love my HUMMER and I love it to death. I've taken it off road and had a blast! I even pulled my friend's FJ out of the mud with it. Great car, totally under-rated, it's worth every penny.

I have an 06 H3 with the I-5 and I can honostly say this is the best vehicle I have ever owned! It is now 4 years old with 65000 miles on it and I have had NO problems AT ALL. More then enough power, especially torque! Ride & handling is Awesome. Visibility is better then in my wifes Toyota minivan. Offroad, It is a Beast!! It is top 3 in the best offroad vehicles stock from the MFG with several Mags and agencies. better then Honda, Toyota & Nissan! If u dont like it u havent driven it!

When I bought my Hummer I was actually looking at a Pathfinder But, once I really started reading the reviews (actual owners, not the magazines and other agencies) the Hummer was better reviewed by far! I was very sceptical buying a GM product, I've never been a fan of GM..

H3 gets about the same gas mileage as a Wrangler Rubicon. It may be 1 mile/gallon lower, but it's actually very similar. The H3 also 0-60s faster then a Rubicon, even with the Atlas. So I never understood the whole "JEEP IS BETTER! H3's SLOW AND A GAS GUZZLER", when you really compare the facts.

yea, as a matter of fact I do. they're more expensive because there obviously better. When my mother sold her h3, I talked her into buying an 01 x5 3.0i. She then started asking why she didn't have the x5 in the first place because it felt much safer, more solid, the engine hummed along at 80mph without screaming like the hummers POS I5 did. The x5 could also actually take a corner at speed without fear of it rolling. The BMW's engine was smoother at redline than the hummers I5 at 1500.
